Most of my life I've played Rugby (League first, moved into Union later). For the last two years I've been playing American Football (started as o-tackle but started playing d-end and olb this year). I play for my college. I missed the season thats just finished though, because I dislocated my knee in a game and tore out all the cartilidge and damaged tendons...still hasn't fully healed. As you will see in another forum around here, my first game back wasn't exactly an excercise in injury recovery :\\

I also really, really love cricket, though I've never played it any more than socially (football season has always clashed with beginning of cricket season, so I always forget to sign up). I used to play it for my school, I was a bit of an all rounder but more of a bowler, and I bowl right arm off spin or left arm medium-pace (yes, I'm ambidexterous. I can do just about anything with either hand)

I played tennis for a while, I was rather good at it (I'm 6'6" so I have a WAY powerful serve). I had to stop it though because I got Tennis Elbow (bloody joints...they're always screwing up)

My non-sporting hobbies include Lusternia, a little bit of computer programming, playing bass guitar, roleplaying in general, drinking (always a favourite), hiking, arguing with people, collecting pictures of lightning storms, learning languages, and poetry.

Sweet, same positions! biggrin.gif. Minus the OLine thing, I've never played that. And the Rugby.

Being injured really sucks, watching on the sidelines is absolute crap, though cheering on your teams takess ome of the pain away.

Weird, I like doing poetry too, but I can't come up with ideas for what to write about wacko.gif.

Hehe, isn't if funny, all us Defensive Lineman being poets? Kinda goes against the old saying:

"To be a Lineman, you need to be Big and Stupid. To be a backer you only need to be Stupid."

I'm gonna use that next time a Linebacker on my team pisses me off.

Woo. Right now I play indoor soccer and am currently in training preseason for softball for school. I play fullback in soccer and first base in softball.

I used to play on a club/tournament soccer team but they didn't have a team this year ohmy.gif. I also played basketball but quit because..I didn't really like it. But I was a forward because I used to be tall compared to everyone else (but..I just grew fast!)
