I find that amusing for some strange reason.

Nah, nah, nah. Stick mugwump! Same constitution, slightly worse intelligence, level two equi bonus, and the added fringe benefit of getting Megalith power.

Plus, a level 3 weakness to fire and electricity, instead of level 2.. but.. meh. We're more handsome, at least.

So, I take more damage from fire and lightning (Problems against Aquamancers and Hartstone respectively), I'm not a "little" less intelligent, I'm notably less intelligent (15 intelligence compared to 18, for an Imperial Merian), lower Charisma (Not that I can Influence anymore, but I -used- to be able to), but, I'm -marginally- faster.

Their draw backs, only worse. And not nearly as good benefits. If it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't draw Power from the Megalith, you bet your I'd switch to becoming blue.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not crying that Mugwumpi and Merian need to be changed in any way to become "balanced" (Whatever your idea of that is), I'm just pointing out that Merian seem to be a whole lot better choice for a mage guild. 'Cause I'm not sure that my having a bit more strength as a Mugwump is -really- all that helpful....unless weight limits based on strength are incorportated?

In fact, I like that idea. I propose it's made so you can carry only so much weight based on your Strength. Keep those evil Merian bastards unable to carry a damn thing beyond their potions and clothes, 'cause they're all flimsy and stuff. Rawr!

Screw it, just go dracnari. There's a sipping penalty, but the constitution = teh r0xx0r, and with lich + karma knowledge blessing you can get the same intelligence as an Imperial merian (at night, of course). Plus there's the added benefit of being resistant to fire, arguably the most common element there is..

And where did Imperial merian's come into the equation, anyway? It's not like you could become an Imperial merian in Magnagora.. You'd stay an ordinary one, with 16 intelligence, one better than a mugwump. So my argument stands. Nyeh.
