I would not say that America has a declining economy, I would say that the rest of the world is finally catching up with America. A declining economy would be inflation above 3% and a declining stockmarket. Americans still pay less for gas than any other country in the world, and prices there are going down. Also, for being the largest target in the world right now to terrorism, 3 events in 10 years is pretty damn good.

Just look how often something gets blown up in Iraq, Israel, Saudi Arabia.. Heck, Japan has had more terrorist attacks than America has.

I would say America has quite a lot to be proud of considering the circumstances, but I would also say the rest of the world has even more to be proud of, they are finally growing up in the way only Consumers can. So, if your a eco-terrorist, the world is going to hell, if your the Presidant of Ayn Rand's fan club, Utopia is just around the corner.

I find tha amusing as well, but my anal side must point out that he actually grew up in Maine. That's where the Bush family compound is. Notice that he and his brother Jeb (Governer of Florida) both fled as far from Ma & Pa as possible.

Nobody seems to notice that the news media is pretty much the same everywhere in the world. (I've watched plenty of T.V in atleast 5 countries on 3 different continents) Nor do people seem to care about taking history into account for modern actions. About the only thing Bowling for Colombine shows is how prejudice our* views towards Rural white people are.
