I personally think Unseelie is actually a very good name for the skillset, the Unseelie were the exiled fae, those not welcome in the Seelie Fae courts from Irish folklore. They definately shouldn't reside on the Ethereal (if we're going to conflict with them, we want a few planes between us and them, just like Magnagora and Celest have...). Perhaps they could have even taken over a cosmic plane, and made an Unseelie court.

But we do not have a Seelie Court, what is the purpose of having an Unseelie Court, if in Lusternia there is no such thing?

Yep, sadly, Jasper's 100% right. They should have called the original one Faerose or something so we could call this one Faethorn. As it stands, though, Unseelie will just have to do until someone comes up with a better name. 'cause I don't get Cronnacht's one.
I do think they should stay in the Ethereal though, as opposed to the Cosmic. It just sort of disrupts this whole thing where the Ether is for fae, the Elements are for the four elements, the Cosms are (to an extent) the D&Dish alignment components of Good, Evil, Chaos, Law, and the Astral is just...beyond mortal understanding. (Plus the zodiac thing. But I assumed that it was because it was like...getting more obscure as it went out, the one with all the iron filings and stuff had some significance we stupid people don't get.)

I'm looking forward to Ethereal border skirmishes, meself.
And I would like to nominate the name... Unfaethorn!

That...but...no. No "Unfaethorn."

Yup, Ethereal is for Fae. If these are gonna be Glom fae, wouldn't it make sense for em to be on Ethereal Glomdoring? There is no Wicca related fae in Faethorn, so that really has nothing to do with either skills.

Isn't that just because we've enticed them all to follow Moon spirit?
Jasper2005-01-12 00:24:30
Couldn't we call the 'Nightbringer' specialization Witchcraft? I mean, Moondancers have Wicca, and with Witchcraft it will fit into the stereotypical thought of witches, sending out darkness and disease. BUT, I am not at all saying that, that is what Witchcraft is. So do not get mad at mean saying I am being all rude and all that.
Hazar2005-01-12 00:28:20
That actually sounds like a good idea, but I'd be curious to hear other's opinions of it.
Shiri2005-01-12 00:28:25
Maybe, except that somewhere I read that Wiccans are often called Witches, though whether that's offensive to them is up to the individual. So, sadly, nah.
Hazar2005-01-12 00:29:04
But if you're just looking for a name, it could work...
Shiri2005-01-12 00:34:26
I like whoever's this one is though. Ah, but I suppose if people want Witches, Witches they shall have.
Unknown2005-01-12 06:09:29
Wicca is the archetype, Nightbringers or whatever will be Wiccan just like Moondancers.
Shiri2005-01-30 22:13:16
What makes a Wiccan an archetype anyway? I mean, it's not the Nature/Totems combo, since Druids have that too. Hm.
