After a meeting with one of the millionaires in our business, we were all walking out of the Hyatt hotel, and we saw Jerry Rice and his family!

Cool, hmm?
Daganev2005-01-10 06:38:49
Its cool if Jerry Rice saw you, unless he looks really different than he does on TV, or if he gave you some sort of advice.
Richter2005-01-10 06:57:45
Well, we looked at him, he looked at us, my mentor in the busines went to the check in counter to talk to him for a sec, but he looked real busy with his family, didn't want to talk, so we gave him some space.
Daganev2005-01-10 07:00:53
Ahh, interaction, that is indeed cool
Richter2005-01-10 07:03:04
Well, it was a group of good looking guys in suits, we rocked that night. happy.gif

...only the greatest Wide Receiver, and possibly the greatest player, ever to set foot in the NFL? tongue.gif

Even people who don't watch football know who Jerry Rice is...he's a household name, like Michael Jordan.

He should retire, he's lost his thunder, kinda like Brett Favre. A legend, but no longer a serious threat to defenses, only a decent player.

EDIT: I'm so envious of you Richter. Only, it'd be better had it been Michael Vick biggrin.gif. But still...Jerry Rice...that's friggin awesome.

This is sort of random but going along with the celebrity-type people theme..

Chubby Checker lives down the street from me tongue.gif. So maybe I've never seen him, but I pass his house everyday. And also, members from the Bloodhound Gang (you know, that one-hit-wonder band..) come into the place I work sometimes because they live in the area.
Maedhros2005-01-11 03:47:35
Meh, might as well add mine.

My friend's house used to be owned by some Tragically Hip members (can't remember which ones), and I saw a Tragically Hip band member at a soccer dome. They used to live in the city I live in.

Once when we were visiting australia I saw Steve Irwin shopping in a clothes store, and his wife looked really haggard. Im betting he leaves his kids with her, and their nannys alot.

Unfortunately or fortunately, we do not have the NFL here in New Zealand... or even (American) Football at all (we do have it, it's just got a tiny community).

Ah, your loss tongue.gif. Although Rugby kinda makes up for it.
Veonira2005-01-12 02:07:31
Oh and also...

I met XENA.

Top that.
Fain2005-01-12 02:52:23
I've met Tom Sizemore, John Amos from Goodtimes, Denzel Washington, R. Lee Erney (from full metal jacket and mail call) Tony Hawk, Ben Affleck (a total jerk, just like everyone says he is) and Dan Akroyd. The only ones I got to talk to at length were Tom Sizemore, R Lee Erney and Dan Akroyd. Anyway, thats me being lucky, I happened to meet most of them at the Pearl harbor premiere in Hawaii (a terrible movie) and the others I met through stuff I did with the military.

Pfft... Rugby.

New Zealand is too rugby, and that's why I don't like it. American Football looks a lot better - and I've played "Flag Footie" at school, which I think is to AF as touch is to rugby.

Anyone know who Tracy Eaton is? Played for the Falcons, I believe.

He does the same business I do, and I talked to him for a bit last night, shook his hand and stuff, and we asked him for some advice on some business matters. Very cool guy.

Weird...I've never heard of Tracy Eaton, on the current roster or any past ones.

I'm a Falcons fan, BTW biggrin.gif.
