I find it interesting that you listed two possibilities with Phoebus, Jack, and both were that she was telling the truth about her resurrection power. I find it far more likely that she does not, in fact, have a resurrection power, and the only real reason to lie about that is if she is scum. Why I'm so suspicious of Akeley? I've already said why several times now. Feel free to look back on the last few days to see my reasoning.

Post found, specious logic, FoS @ u. I'm hypothesizing with Phoebus, btw. Of course the possibility exists that she's scum and bluffing. For all we know she has no power at all. But I don't think dicking around testing that out in LyLo is the best way of doing things - especially after the fiasco with me, which apparently still hasn't cleared my name. To reiterate: not voting for Phoebus, at least today, under any circumstances. I don't care if you think it's scummy or not, it's the smart move. Similarly, not voting for Akeley, who is very obviously town.
Ssaliss2011-08-12 00:41:42
Of course you don't agree with my logic and find me suspicious. You are, after all, one of the three I strongly believe is scum. I would be very surprised indeed if you actually agreed with me.
Jack2011-08-12 00:43:07
What, so that's your methodology of catching scum? Pointing the finger at randoms and shouting "AHA!" when they disagree? Everyone's going to disagree when (hur) fingered (hur), town or scum.

ITALLLIIIICCCSSSS *shakefist*
Ssaliss2011-08-12 00:45:01
That's not quite what I said, really. You say it's illogical and declare an FoS, and in the same breath you defend both Phoebus and Akeley, claiming the latter is "very obviously town", when I've pointed out how it's very possible he is not.
Jack2011-08-12 00:47:08
And I've pointed out how specious your logic is. He has a random daypower which, on one occasion, succeeded in resurrecting the town's vigilante. Why in the name of hell would scum be given such a power? It'd be useless - they couldn't resurrect their own members once dead, since they'd be unmasked at that point and immediately re-lynched. Ergo your logic is specious.
Unknown2011-08-12 00:47:17
sigh
Ssaliss2011-08-12 00:48:05
Why he would choose to resurrect a town? To make everyone sure he is town. And it seems to have worked very well too.
Casilu2011-08-12 00:54:53

Looks like you are all having a hard time with the puzzle I left you. Hahahahaha.

Have you taken up Balizar's mantle? But being pointlessly obfuscatory in lieu of rabidly aggressive?

My point is there is no reason for scum to be given a rez ability in the first place, since they can't day-rez their own members without drawing suspicion onto themselves immediately. The rest of his powers are activated by day as well, meaning any other beneficial effects (like the question thing) are out in the open for all to see. It would be insanely difficult for a scum to utilize those powers for anything but pretending to be a townie. We're not in TF2, he's not a goddamn spy, there's no goddamn butterfly knife involved. Akeley = town.

On the bright side, I have an idea for a new mafia game.

Batman Mafia? I think you'd be short on town. Unless Batman + several sidekicks are the bad guys...
Ssaliss2011-08-12 10:23:40
Oh, I dunno... Batman, Robin, Alfred, Batgirl, Batwoman, the Chief Constable, and probably many more.
Ilyssa2011-08-12 11:55:35
Alright... this has been a lot to suggest at seven in the morning so I'm probably going to add on to this later, but from what I've gathered Ssaliss is vehemently saying Akeley is scum and Jack has been vehemently protecting him. I'm pretty sure the scum wouldn't have a rez ability, that would just be stupid. I'm pretty sure Akeley isn't scum from how useful he's been, unless he's been scum this entire time and has been censor.gif ing us this entire time, at that point I think we're pretty much done. That being said I do think there's something wrong with the questions he asked, as that would be insanely overpowered. Ssaliss, what strikes you as scummy about Akeley, exactly?
Ssaliss2011-08-12 12:13:22
I've already explained this, but very well. Let's start with the fact that absolutely nothing Akeley has done so far has benefitted town. He resurrected Vendetta, who was promptly killed the same night without being able to nightkill someone. He gave the doctor power to Xikue with strict instructions to protect him, leaving the scum to pick off Bali. The original two questions he asked would have told us nothing at all, and it was only after my comments about the questions that Akeley included the question about who town was. Unfortunately, and as he well knew, that leaves two questions whose answers could not, in any way, be confirmed; all we could do was speculate, and that is, obviously, not getting us anywhere. In that sense, his questions actually hurt town, not helped it.
Unknown2011-08-12 13:50:35
sigh

I resurrected Vendetta because V had the most useful power role for town amongst the dead and lynched, and I was hoping the doctor at the time would protect her. Didnt work out that way, whether Rika was protecting me, Llesvelt, or got roleblocked by the FCC (unlikely). I changed my question to make YOU happy, and because Casilu's refusal to answer my first was, i thought, indicative of a restraint on the power. Of course Xikue should have protected me, I'm in posession of a very powerful pro-town power. And the questions didn't hurt town, we were wildly speculating before. And I'm sure this post is likely going to be taken somehow as "proof" that I'm scum, but I'm not, so please don't lose the game by lynching me.

Stupid iPhone posting.

I already have a Batman mafia. The game consists of 13 serial killers. Now I have a different idea.

What in Hezmana. To Ssaliss, Akeley's original two questions were fine. The first would have given us a lead on who the remaining scum were while the second would have given away which frelling voice was truthful and which was false. The second question on remaining town didn't help determine that.

Yotz, We're frelling wasting daylight.
