This implies there are multiple scum roles who are capable of a kill - or its a system where the scum can select who is doing the actual killing for their group. Their flavor implies them not to be a television show character/etc. As far as scum flavor goes, this is quite speculative but considering "Kids are banned from watching you, church groups protest you, many people find your humor disgusting. In fact, some groups may try to shut you down..." implies multiple different types of flavor in the scumgroup.

As for Bali's speculations, there's nothing extraordinary about more than one piece of dren capable of killing, although knowing the flavour might help us down the line. Not sure I'd bet on there only being one group of scum though, as implied by "the scumgroup".

Okay, as promised, here are my reasons for unvoting.

I'm still very much of the opinion that Bali is not among the general group, for the same reasons I mentioned earlier. However, due to his posts I'm starting to believe that he's an outsider instead of an actual opponent; his posts makes little sense, and even seem to be as offensive as they can be. Instead of arguing the points, he resorts to insults to try to sway others. This is not the behavior I'd expect of the people trying to ban the show; quite the opposite, in fact. As for his real goals, one can only speculate, but personally I'll not give much more thought to the matter.

So who are our opponents? That is a question that is, obviously, much harder to answer. At the moment, the only people I don't suspect are Jack and Llesvelt, but among the rest, I can't say. Not much has been said yet, so it's hard to deduce it out of that. Xikue seems to be from another world entirely, so she's a definite possibility. Phoebus has no discernable pattern to her posts, aside from the first pair. Rika and Ileein has said virtually nothing. While Ilyssa has made several posts, none of them have really been that informative. Picking out three of the five is something I can't really do, so for now, I'll not place another vote.

I'm sorry for not being able to contribute much, but I really am finding it hard to follow this thread. It just seems more like random rambling by some people. Still think a vote for one of the later bandwagoners is good.

Alright then. First off, why do you think I'm scummy? I'm tryin' to contribute as much information as I can and doing my best to break things down (within reason), considering how hyperactive some of the people/events in this mafia have been so far. Secondly, if you think I'm scummy, why back my line of questioning at all? Or have you just suddenly decided I'm scummy - and if so, why, considering I'm doing pretty much the same thing as on day one?


I agree that the random claims were not the kind of thing I'd expect from Moral Guardians, but I think the randomly insulting people/making no sense thing is just Bali. As he himself said, "im playing two games on mafiascum right now so this one isn't really on my radar - sorry if im flippant." Then again, there's always the possibilities he made up those outrageous claims, in an attempt to seem town. After all, he keeps "forgetting" to do it, and if restrictions = powers, he's basically forfeiting abilities out of "flippancy". That's either sheer bad playing or a bluff, imo. (If he'd started posting later in the topic than he did, I'd be more in favour of this Fake Claiming Theory and vote him immediately. As it is, only Xikue and Vendetta had posted before him, so the restrictions = powers thing had clearly not been cemented in the thread.) As it is I'm inclined to believe with you, he's probably an Outsider role, maybe a jester, so I'm against lynching him on principle atm.

To Ssaliss, I think it's better not to rely on the frelling flavour over people's posts to discern things. I don't see how Llesvelt is off the hook.

To Jack, I wouldn't put so much stock in Bali having a post restriction, unless he was given a ridiculously larger margin of frelling forgiveness than Vendetta was. Yotz, I'm inclined to say he never had one, and only made a point of it after seeing Vendetta's role.

See, I'd have thought that too, but like I said, only you and Vendetta had posted in the thread when Bali made his first contribution. Granted, you and Vend were both using your post restrictions (him the , you the... frelling... whatever-thing. I don't know what it's from), but since it was only one post each it could arguably be taken for eccentricity. If I was positive Bali had been fabricating the post restriction, I would definitely vote for him post-haste. As it stands I'm indecisive.

My role is appearantly "person being made fun of", and I have this ability called "See How Someone Will React To This" as in see how someone will react to me being made fun of. So I used it on Bali today, and he appearantly thought it would be hilarious. What exactly this means I am unsure of, but if he was a network censor (which might be what scum is) he probably would not find it that funny.
