Ok I've just experienced some huge bugs in demesnes.

1. Been getting hit in my own demesne and other geos demesnes with jellyfish needlerain and fused runes....I recently died to this.

2. Forcetainting now is an agressive action, and as such is stopped by shield grace AND if you have status on them.

This is wrong for so many reasons, the only thing forcetaint should do is remove someones suspect on you if you do it. Its rediculous that if someone is graced, or you have just killed them, or they are shielded somewhere else and you can't break it.

Anyone else experiencing something similair?

Yeah. We couldn't break Arilyon's demesne on the Ethereal, because she was shielded. Most annoying.

Yeah, and we can't break Ixchilgal's demesne in Delport, because he's shielded. Even though he's all the way in the Necropolis

Really, really dumb.

Actually, hasn't this been a problem for eons? I remember Cuber flooding about half Magnagora, and because he was innocence'd, no one could do anything about it.

No it's only just changed for shield and pk status.

It SHOULD be just that if you have someone on suspect, and go around breaking their demesne, then you lose suspect because that is an abuse of avenger. But bullying someone by unmelding one of their rooms isn't bullying.

Can I have my cake and eat it too? because really WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING THE DAMN CAKE IF YOU CAN'T EAT IT

Just teleport to them and break their shield. If they move, they will have to put downt he shield, and if they dont you can break it

Easier said than done when they're in the middle of Magnagora/Serenwilde surrounded by guards & statues/guards & totems.

I don't recall having Innocence then, I thought they didn't re-taint it because they were morons or didn't care... seems I were wrong.

You were graced. I remember that day, you had died right after flooding and after praying were joking about it on CT that breaking your demesne was an aggressive act apparently.

While the shielding is a bit silly, I don't think it should be necessarily so easy to destroy a Demesne.

Relative skill levels (In regards to Geomancy, Aquamancy, and Treehuggermancy) should be taken into account, much like dispelling illusions.

For example: Person A who is Mythical in Geomancy creates a Demesne. Person B comes along, but is only Expert, barely able to Forcetaint. Person B attempts to destroy the Demesne, 'cause he's bored, it's encroaching on his turf, or whatever. Person B has hardly any chance at all of breaking said Demesne, because Person A is so much stronger in the relevent skill. So Person B calls Person C who's Transendant, and Person C proceeds to rip that Demesne a new one.

It makes some sense, that someone who's just learning to walk isn't going to win a race against someone who's spent 20 years training for that race.

This won't be applicable to rooms that aren't melded, because they aren't tied in any function to the power of the mage in question...they're just oriented towards a specific element. Once a mage's spirit is bonded with the taint/puddle/tree, however, you're essentially attempting to overpower them, when you mess with that room.

Not sure if I was completely clear on that, but I think I got the basic idea across.

Maybe go by % chance, so an Expert CAN break a Transcendent Demesne, just takes much longer.
