I didn't get to the point in achaea where I could ever afford a house, but I would really like one in Lusternia. I think that houses should be encouraged in Lusternia and made much more accessible for characters than they are in Achaea. Maybe once you reach a certain level you should be automatically be awarded a house, and let the other people have to pay a bunch for the house. That would encourage people to spend time bashing and questing and the like, thereby buying and spending credits, it would allow low-level characters to buy a house through spending credits, and it would reward committed players and improve RP all at the same time!! If this kind of thing happens, it should only be awarded to some really nice and high level, like 85 or something. Anyways, I really think it would be nice to have some cool character houses. I will need one once I start getting more people into my family!

I'm sorry, but that's one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. There are so many reasons that would be wrong, I don't think I'm going to exhaust myself going over them.
Okay. I lied.
-We don't want to uncourace powergaming. While it's fine for someone to reach a high level, you don't want bashing to become the main focus for an rpg like this.
-It doesn't make any sense in game. Why would you get somewhere to live by getting to be a better fighter/influencer/quester?
-It doesn't make any sense out of the game. I'm sure as hell not getting a house because I have a cool job, people like me, and I kill rats a lot. Scratch that last one.
-We would see too many people running around going, "Whoooa, fifteen more levels till house!!1!" We already have enough people waiting till they do not have to eat and drink anymore, and tell us how many levels they have left.
-What about customization? The fact that rich people have bigger houses? I'm quite sure I would have a large house with say, a forge, and someone with less credits would have a smaller house.
-Credit sales. The fact that they wouldn't be selling the credits used for houses. Which loses the company money. Why don't we give out artifacts at a certain level too?
In short, it would destroy RP, the world would start to self-destruct, and the server would likely explode into a million pieces.

Don't be cruel... to janitors. Do you know how much effort will it take for them to remove the poo?
Anyway, back to the original topic...
