I vote Aris'. Original and funny as hell.

Most viewed Avatar I'd have to say Shiri's, the whale/badger/oreo handpuppet.

Aris' avatar annoys me to no end, and it's not that original. I know of atleast two other people on completly unrelated forums who use it.

I swear there's at least one person on every forum I read who has that stormtrooper avatar (And I read a lot of pretty much unrelated forums)... And it's annoyingly distracting on all of them.

I quite like Shiri's just for the discussion surrounding it...

IF I could figure out how to have moving ones, I would be so happy. *sniff* It's like I break the forums with my moving avatars and pictures and stuff.

Yeah, I have lots of animated icons I'd love to use if I could get it to work... Anyone have any thoughts about how to do that? I seem to remember some animated ones but no idea why they work when mine won't .

Well if you use an animated one that you found it should work. But to make your own you can use Adobe Imageready to animate (I'm sure there are other things, that's the only program I have experience with).

Nope, I've tried uploading my animated icons and they don't work... There were a couple of other people who had this problem as well. It just shows the first frame as a non-animated one.

Karrah's IS a fire salamander. It's the super cool one from either Secret of Mana or Seiken Densetsu III, ancient SNES games (I think it's the first one, but it's too small to tell easily. I'm just looking at the level of detail.) And very cool indeed.
