Try RPing someone with a split personality (I'm not talking "Me, Myself and Irene" here) and pull it off. THAT would be a hard role to keep up; the sweet innocent 'normal' Elfen girl who, for some reason she does not know, sometimes has blackouts and wakes up in different places with a foggy memory. How did she get there? Oh, she must walk in her sleep, nothing to worry about. Why are her hands covered in scratches? She must have been bitten by insects and scratched herself. Why does that Furrikin in Estel cower when she walks past, she can only remember being anything but nice to him...the poor little guy must have social problems. Yep, that must be it.

I'm tempted to try this now. I would, if I could devote the time to an extra character. Maybe later Laneth will develop a split personality later on (though, from my understanding, they usually develop after suffering sever horrific traumatic stress, probably during childhood).

Actually, Nika did a really good job of doing exactly this a while ago. *poke Nika*

Heheh, yeah. That was very fun. 'specially when the insane predictions come true, and someone asks you about how you knew, and.. "Erm, I said what now?"

Yeah, sad I had to go in the middle of that. That was fun.

I really like watching that take place.  I don't know why, it just makes me feel and warm and tingly tongue.gif.  But seriously, I guess it's because I'm from Achaea and no one I knew really roleplayed.  There was one person once, and I really can't remember his name, but he was unable to read and had a bit of an accent, kind of like Daganev.  I remember I was citizening him in Cyrene and had to read the entire Cyrene Codex out loud to him.  That was actually fun, even though it was repetitive having to copy and paste it all out.

YOU think it was repetitive? I'm on JAVA, I have to type the stupid things out from scratch, so when someone lkie that arrived in the druids...>_<

My craziest experience like that so far is in Imperian. I made up some constellations and a fortune telling type system, that basically tells people what type of personalities they have and what they will ultimatly succeed in. I base this on the day the person was born IC.. so like the 10th of Halitus 421.

So far, everyone but 2 people have been like.. HOw the hell did you know that? And one guy, I did his star reading when he was a young person, told him he would be a light on the hill and his goal could not be completed in Stavenn. He ended up becoming the Order Head of Illuminus. (Illuminus did not exist at the time of the reading)

That has really freaked me and many other people out.
And now I'm really excited because some mob is teaching Cassiopeia followers how to have the Sight.

I have a complex rp route to take planned for Jelaludin that borders on the insane, though some of magnagora might not like it. So I'm waiting to establish my character more until I start it up wink.gif
Daganev2005-01-14 20:11:21
Interesting, I've never planned any of my charachters. I give them an emotional history, and then as the game progresses a little I come up with a "action based history" and then once thats down I just go from there.

People asked that Daganev learn to read and write, so since it was he superior officer, he said, sure I guess I can try to learn to write.. reading will take much longer.
