I think the loboshigaru roleplay here started by Amaru and Riyo should get deepened out, killing people walking along the highway just cause they're from another city (which happens a lot) is pretty weak roleplay, but with something like the monastary to back it up it could become pretty interesting.
Course you could bring in other races as a kind of mercenaries, but it'd be nice if all loboshigarus of Lusternia would join in, if they don't want to fight, they can still stand guard and call the rest of there's intruders...

I've always found the lycanthropic races, or whomever plays them tend to get very race protective. Or ever the word would be..
I mean if you call one a dog even jokingly they get pretty peeved. Even if they DO wear collars and go around barking and wagging their tails. (Imperian..)
I don't see other races acting like that.. drifting off topic..

Well, of the Furrikin I know, we don't mind being called foxes or cats or any of the other...things, but we strongly object to being called "fluffballs" or treated like babies. Or, I do anyway. And the other THREE Furrikin I know do. Since there's like no one.

4.14.10 The Loboshigaru Race
Descended from the Elder God Loboshi, the loboshigaru are a race of
humanoid canines (though some dispute whether they are more similar to
wolves, dogs, jackals or all of them depending on ancestral tribe). They
have amazing regenerative power, though they are susceptible to magical
damage. Loboshigaru retain a "pack" mentality in that they prefer to
identify with clans and groups and are known to be fiercely loyal to
those groups. Most loboshigaru cannot help but see those outside of their
groups as some sort of threat, or at least highly suspicious individuals
who should be met with caution. However much of a social race they are,
it is noteworthy that if an individual loboshigaru leaves his or her
"pack" for whatever reason, they often remain intensely individualistic
"lone wolves", sometimes leading an almost monastic lifestyle for the rest
of their lives.

Hey, life was great in Achaea until I got outcitied, enemied, excommed, maggoted and shrubbed. I'm perfectly capable of roleplay. I have the odd debate with my enemy, try to fit my role as much as possible, but when there's a choice between debate and combat- if I wanted a debate I'd study politics or theology. Come on...

Youre a Celestine. Theology IS your field of study. Paladins are the 'warriors' of the light, whereas the Celestines are spiritual advisors. But then you wouldnt have all the pretty powers, eh? Guess its okay to sacrifice roleplay sometimes.
Hazar2005-01-16 20:34:45
I'd agree, except by that logic, the only people in the realms who should fight would be ur'Guard, Serenguard, and Paladins.
Jack2005-01-16 22:03:06
And after all that, the first person to do it was a Merian.
Amaru2005-01-16 22:06:31
Only because, frustratingly, he was my Ordermate, so I couldn't stop him.
Aris2005-01-16 22:11:05
Meh, you wanna know why Aris attempts to kill every living Magnagoran soul in the Basin? Ask him, and bring some popcorn, perhaps a pillow. There's about an hours worth of storytelling to be had for his reasoning.
And I don't RP.
And I don't RP.
Hazar2005-01-16 22:33:47
Okay, I missed something. Who got enlightened here?
Shiri2005-01-16 22:36:17
Soll. Announce news.
Rhysus2005-01-16 23:17:04
Me too, right after. Soll and I did it with just the two of us. Don't know what the rest of you were complaining about...
Akraasiel2005-01-17 04:32:25
Uh oh, now Amaru's gotta keel jooo!
Unknown2005-01-17 04:34:52
That's right. Amaru, now to prove you know how to roleplay by murdering your prince, being cast out from the city, and moving to the monastary.
Unknown2005-01-17 04:37:57
I'd love to see that.
Amaru2005-01-17 20:07:55
I wish I knew how to spell deja vu.
Shiri2005-01-17 20:10:06
That's right. Except it has accents. But accents suck.
Revan2005-01-17 21:24:05
And so in the end, Amaru fails to comply to the roleplay that he said he would.
Erion2005-01-17 21:26:23
IF anyone's surprised, I'm binding YOU to the Ravenwood and playing all day long.

When the 'roleplay' you set out for your character is totally unrealistic, stupid, and impossible to carry out (given the nature of the PK system and Avenger, not to mention personal limitations) that tends to happen.
