To follow the codes of roleplay Amaru, which you are stating you were doing, you must now murder the prince. Guido, my condolences. I just became good friends with you ic, and hope you don't leave, but if you do, I understand why. You're harassed non stop.
Celestians, that was sad. I had respect for you, but not anymore. Don't do it again.

Aww, it wasn't -that- bad... just didn't work out, better next time. Even if it's a slightly failed attempt of roleplay, it's still an attempt of roleplay, which is ALWAYS good.
Amaru2005-01-18 20:29:10
Some of you truly make me laugh. You seem actually OOCly -angry-.
Pat.
Being a hardcore roleplayer, like me killing Rhysus and Soll, wouldn't get me very far. About as far as Guido or Erion.

You miss the point entirely, then. Roleplaying isn't supposed to get you anywhere, it is a means unto itself.
Anyway, I was quite oocly angry; after all, all those hours I put into the quest? Those were real, ooc hours.
Unknown2005-01-19 00:26:03
Amaru doesn't have a time machine, either. Those are his RL hours too - do you see him bitching?
Guido's earned all he gets through his past actions. People aren't obligated to think, "Is Guido doing something that is important to him and time consuming? If so, I'd better forget past grievances and let him finish up or I'll hurt his wee feelings." Come on Guido, you betray his order and get enemied to most every major organization? You should be surprised when you can do something which will benefit -you- without any harrassment.
You RP a hated outcast and - hey guess what - you get treated like a hated outcast. Change your tune IC to some sort of weird pacifist or shut the hell up.

Eh, Amaru doesn't even pretend to RP half the time. Honestly, there are the same amount of non-RPers in Seren, Celest, Magnagora, but to pretend you ARE RPing, when the object was, quite simply, to PK (which CAN be fun, but about as much fun as PK on Diablo II is).
Shiri2005-01-19 00:38:32
I was under the impression it was pretty impossible to PK on D2, since the buggers just run out at the first sign of trouble.

Guido (IC) has done a lot of stuff to piss almost everyone off, but it (hunting him) does seem to go to far sometimes. You get novices coming on, reading some news posts and talking to some older Serens and then deciding that they shall grow strong enough to slay the evil Guido. Nevermind the fact that they've had no interaction with him and don't even know personally (IC) how his actions have affected their home.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in any regard with the scenario you presented.
Unknown2005-01-19 01:25:38
As for the time comment, it took me 7+ hours to do that quest, it took Amaru about 5 minutes to rally his forces and leap through the portal. It took Ethelon about 20 seconds to summon us out. As I said in the past, my main complaint is how one person with little effort can topple a major piece of work.

Most of the novices a bit mad at me don't take too much... I have a whole routine set up to deal with them.
Novice: Why did you kill me/other novice?
Me: Have you ever tended a garden?
Novice: Yes. (They're Serenwilders!)
Me: What do you do when you see a weed sprout from the ground?
Novice: Oh. Okay.
It works! If any of you want to use it, feel free.

Brilliant!

Bumping, just to ensure Amaru's stunning adherance to his roleplay continues to recieve notice.

Uhm.. does everything you do relate to fighting, Amaru?
You seem a little dry otherwise.
