The light whisks you away, unceremoniously dumping you at the feet of Jack.
Ackleberry Highway approaching Magnagora. (road).
The corrosiveness of the taint sickens the land. A smattering of clouds fills
the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. This ancient road curves from north
to south on the eastern side of the basin of civilization. The ground of the
road is compacted tight under the weight of centuries of travellers, merchants,
heroes and villains trekking back and forth. Two channels have been engraved
within the road from the weight of wagon wheels carrying their heavy cargoes.
The landscape surrounding the highway is bleak. A coating of fine black soot
covers vegetation that is twisted into tortuous contortions. The air smells
faintly of sulphur and the atmosphere evokes a sense of apprehension. Ahead can
be seen the black spires of the great city of Magnagora, red lightning flashing
from a perpetual bank of black clouds overhead. The fossilized remains of Recos
are here. A statue of Yukari stands here, memorializing her noble spirit.

Nope. You can get them back. I'm not sure as to whether it shows them in your list of skill choices, but if not, you can select them just as if they were.

He means if you do skillchoice select Discernment you'ld get it back.

I think he means to try SKILLCHOICE SELECT PLANAR etc. again. Even if it doesn't show on the list.
