My leg's German...
My brother's in Law definitely German from Heidelberg, but him and my sister lives in Stuttgart now.
I'm a quarter German... my pops is German and lived there with my nan. They immigrated with my dad when dad was little.
I lived in Germany for a year and I'm pretty fluent in the language. Although my writing is S H * T!
Shot I meant to write shot.
Ich hat in Konstanz beim Bodensee gewohnt. Es war schoen. Ich liebe Deutschland! Oesterreich war auch schoen. Ich war in Wien und Salzburg. Ganz nett ins Winter.
Oh by the way Aesyra, North German dialect won't work because I was in South Germany

Polish family, but I have been to Germany a few times.
I can't spell the name of the place we went though. Auberamagau or something.

Oberammergau? I think...

Something like that. It had a ginormous swimming pool and there were some giant (more horrible spelling) noosnakas in the streets. We got a tiny one for crunching nuts. It scares my brother a lot.

More Polish people - this scares me. It was cool with me, Corbenic & Ekard.
I don't have German relatives, but my grandfather lives in Germany (he considers himself 100% Polish though), 'bout 30 km from Bremen.

There's another Moondancer Polish person running around, and Corbenic mentioned that he knew four at one point (and you weren't one of them) so there are probably a couple you're not aware of.

I've been to Germany. Stayed in Kirchzarten near Freiburg. Very nice, I liked the country.

noosnakas... is this what I should prepare for should I ever come to the UK to teach German for a year?

Well I don't know what they're called! I've never learnt German or anything. I only know like 10 words. And I probably can't spell THEM either. When faced with giant nutcracking statues with cossacks what am I SUPPOSED to think?
Gorokan2005-06-29 14:43:54
I'm trying to learn German at the moment. I live in Australia. Girlfriend is from Austria though, and I'm going there for a month at the end of the year.
I'm planning to meet up with an Austrian or two I know through other IRE games too Can't wait

Actually, I know of four, including Cuber and me.
I don't know that Moondancer person though, who is that?

Nah, impossible. And damn, you're fast.

Seems we've hijacked the thread into "Any Polish in here?". Whatever. As I've heard in the bus... the donkey cart I mean: "Poland and Germany are just next to each other so they must be very similiar countries".
Shiri2005-06-30 12:07:16
Like England and Wales, I'll wager.
Unknown2005-06-30 14:14:28
Shiri: You're looking for a Nussknacker.
