I'd like this post to be a collection of people's opinions (and definately some Gods', as they were the ones who originally designed this stuff) about what the races statistics MEAN.
For example, both Tae'dae and Igasho have lower than average intelligence, but are they really both the same KIND of low intelligence?
I think that the Igasho's "Low Intelligence" comes more from an ineptitude for academics, through a natural attitude of happy ignorance. They're "unintelligent" because they don't feel the need to pursue those things.
Whereas I think Tae'dae have the capacity to be intelligent, in a sense, but they are slow thinkers, getting confused, angry and frustrated when forced to think in a hurry. Thats the way I play Gwynn. He loses his temper very easily and makes terrible decisions if put on the back foot, but if he has time to form his opinions, they can be quite up there.
I also don't think the way people often change their talking to suit "Low Intelligence" is particularly accurate. If you look at the histories, many of the supposedly unintelligent races, in particularly Tae'dae and Taurians, spoke quite well.
So, what of the other races and other statistics? How does the Strength of a Dracnari differ from that of an Orclach? Are the Dracnari well toned and able to use their whole bodies for best push, and the Orclachs just brute force?
Let me know what you all think! Especially Gods and Goddesses who designed their races in the first place!

My favorite part of all the histories:
I see your average, untainted Tae'dae as big, friendly giants, and fiercly loyal. Go against their loyalties and you'll find yourself facing a big, not-so-friendly giant. As for their intelligence, I think they have the capacity to learn, but are impatiant for such things as academics and would rather do what they enjoy doing, roaming the woods and hunting.
QUOTE
Ackleberry! Sweet, Ackleberry! Before me were the best of them. Furrikins armed with slings and staves. The great hulking tae’dae, in armour that could barely contain their huge, lovable bear bodies, wielding enormous swords and battleaxes. A few aslaran were sprinkled here and there, looking like the royal felines they are. I even spotted one lone loboshigaru! But most amazing of all were the igasho. Those rarely seen, solitary wanderers from the high mountains had come down in Ackleberry’s defense. Unusual enough even to see one--now there were hundreds! Larger then the largest krokani, as strong as a tae’dae, and as furry as a furrikin, seeing these gentle giants here set me into another bout of sobbing.
Having seen me run out from the Taint, I guess they didn’t know what to expect. I must have looked a wreck, but my sobbing eventually convinced them I wasn’t Tainted. Finally, a tae’dae lumbered towards me, placing a heavy paw on my forehead.
“Come now, little brother,†he said softly. “Come now.â€
Then he picked me up and rocked me like a babe. Though normally a tae’dae who did this to an adult furrikin would be slapped in no uncertain terms, right then I could do nothing but snuggle into his pelt. Singing some cub-like lullaby, he carried me to his brothers and sisters. Surrounded by the warmth of the tae’dae, I calmed down enough to speak.
“The Undead Emperor!†I blurted. “He must be stopped! Going to Celest with an army. Horn of Urlach! Don’t let him have it! You must save Gib! Can go into Taint now--Kethuru gone!â€
I knew I was babbling but couldn’t stop myself. The tae’dae holding me looked towards his female companion who shrugged and suggested, “Perhaps send him to Estelbar with the other tae’dae cubs?â€
“I’m not a cub,†I said wearily, quickly tiring of how the tae’dae are wont to treat furrikin like their cubs. Then, a thought occurred to me. “Estelbar? Why wouldn’t you send your cubs to Ackleberry?â€
“We arrived too late,†sighed the female tae’dae.
“Too late?†I cried.
What were they saying? Did the Taint corrupt Ackleberry as it had Gloriana? I looked over the tae’dae’s shoulder to the north where Ackleberry Forest lay, but the air was clear and clean and without Taint. I sighed in relief. But the two tae’dae were exchanging nervous glances with each other as though afraid to upset me more. Of course, that only made me more upset.
“Perhaps we should take him to the High Priestess of the Moon?†the tae’dae holding me asked his companion.

I can't believe this topic has failed to cause more people to give their opinions! Come on people, whats your take on certain racial statistics? What things bug you about the way others play certain races?
P.s. At least Guido responded to me, he knows where its at.

the conversation is old amongst those who post a lot.

Gywnn, I mostly agree about the Tae'dae remarks...I play Olan to not be a good leader, but a great follower...put on the spot his plans are sometimes intentionally sub-optimal, but given long enough to ponder over a broken message from Bob's floating head, he'll put together something that makes a lot of sense. He doesn't talk well, mostly a lot of personal pronoun mixing and lack of particles or articles or whatever they're called in this language. It isn't hard to understand, but it is clearly uneloquent. On the other hand, I chose to play Tae'dae mostly because of their charisma score...I like being liked by those who are on my side, and aspire to be feared by others (I had a proud moment when a Celestian OOC friend of mine killed me, and got congratulated on CT by a couple people). If you ask people I work with a lot, I'm just a big teddy bear who follows orders and cares about the city of Magnagora above all else. Olan is SO refreshingly different then my last IRE character...that I've quit Achaea, heh. Now if only I had all those credits back to spend over here...

I'd love to comment on the tae'dae thing, but I really don't have a lot of experience with them. As for me, Ive played a merian and a faeling. My take on the merians is that they're intellectual above all else, but also proud, snobbish, and a little racist. The faelings I see as just kind of cuddly nice magically mysterious characters, as shown by their high charisma.
