Barbedtail Sting

If I sting, using barbedtail in Nihilism, I get thrown off balance for near 10 seconds just for trying to sting three times in succession, wether my target is there or not, it's quite annoying, the balance seems to stack everytime the command to sting is entered, whatever the outcome... any chance that could get fixed?

If I'd try stinging more than 3 times, I'd get thrown off balance for 20 seconds, even if I just get the "no target" messages, without even actually stinging a single time. And yes, I bugged it, just trying to give more information here.

Furthermore, it would be REALLY appreciated if this bug could get fixed...right now the skill is about useless in actual combat, cause if you hit the macros three times or more in the spam, wether it hits or not, you're off balance for at least 20 seconds...which is not fun.

Also, I was under the impression that the barbed tail had its OWN balance (i.e., you could perform actions, and sting with your tail simultaneously)

Try stinging and slashing with a sword at the same time. Or shieldstunning and sting. I think it should work, since it has like another arm balance.

Nah, it's normal balance, can't do anything else while stinging, which is perfectly fine for me, I love it, all I want is for it not to be bugged like it is now. I run in, sting sting sting, BLAM: off balance 15 seconds, without even having actually stung anyone.

Heh, I bugged the fact it does take balance if target is not present loooooong ago. Guess it isn't a bug then. sad.gif

Sadly, by "it's own balance" they might mean it's intentional that way. Even if it is though, the balance shouldn't add up if you try to sting as fast as you can. If I try to sting while entangled I can't do anything for like 4-5 seconds and the like. The skill isn't so great that it should work this way ya know, just make it a normal move sleep.gif

Yeah, the same bug is found in the window skill of cosmic, but that's no prob cause it isn't used in combat, stacking balances at the sting commands makes the whole skill useless in combat, PLEASE fix it? -wail-

If you try stinging paralysed, entangled, webbed, off balance, off equilibrium, if stupidity turns it into an emote, if you try it stunned, it stacks and stacks and stacks and stacks into enormous proportions of balance loss, without ever even stinging once.

Yeah, everytime the command "sting" gets sent to Lusternia, it adds 2-3 seconds to the balance loss, whatever the outcome.

Except when you're asleep and try to sting, then you don't lose balance...

So now does it run off it's own balance, like an elixir, or take normal balance, like kicking someone?

It takes normal, physical balance, like kicking or jabbing, but it doesn't stack balance everytime the command is entered anymore, like it did first, which is exactly how it should be in my opinion. It's a nice skill.
