I recommend not making your autoratter fully automated. From the looks of it, you're killing, moving, and picking them up all automatically. That's a big no-no.

Also, are you using Whyte's mapper? That might not be something to include in a very basic system for newbies, given that it can be tricky to install properly, especially for novice computer users.

Yeah, I was going to automate it completely but grew too bothered to do it. Also, um, I'm using the system myself so you'll excuse for now some Iora-only things in it!

Useful.

But the whole "magicks!" thing is pointless, omitting it and just declaring the file necessarily OOC would be much easier for you and them.

How about Nexus? I have no system at all, and was currently moving on through memory...

Can someone direct me?

First, you'll need a cat o' nine tails. Then, whip yourself for an hour or two. If you're still keen, download mushclient and learn Lua.

Or just download zmud.

I reccomend Mush with Lua, since my thread is going strong and has damned good explinations and examples for bilding a system from scratch, so you can learn from my many many many mistakes!

This guide says to make an alias for every herb/salve/pipe, but doesn't specify to put anything in them. Then later specifies to make an alias for each herb with

"yarrow" =>
outr yarrow
eat yarrow
etcetc

Simple question.

What is the purpose of making the additional aliases? Or do I only need one alias for each herb with the specified alarm, etc in it?
Lifon2007-07-26 21:24:45
So this can work on MUSH too?
Malarious2007-07-26 22:20:31
Would have different command syntax as #if and #alarm are for Zmud.
Lifon2007-07-27 16:33:09
So what exactly do Variables do anyway? I never did find out...
Lifon2007-07-27 16:38:52
So learnin lua's a good idea?
Unknown2007-07-27 17:19:00
Lua's great! It's fast, flexible, and simple. It's been the default language for MUSHclient for the last several versions (and for good reason). Also, CMUD 2.0 will incorporate Lua scripting, which makes it a good idea to learn no matter what (major) client you plan to use.

I think this might help you answer that question: http://www.lua.org/uses.html

This is what I have been searching in many websites and I finally found it here. Amazing article. I am so impressed. Could never think of such a thing is possible with it...I think you have a great knowledge especially while dealings with such subjects.
