Hey people, who else has entered the contest? Just curious as to who im up against.
Unknown2005-01-22 17:21:59
I'm entering before the end of the month, and my rough draft is done; I'm just letting it stew about a week before launching my rewrite, and submitting.
Maedhros2005-01-23 02:52:51
I'm pondering on writing a rhyming poem about all the races of Lusternia...
Still trying to decide if I have enough time or not, with exams coming up, lots of homework, and spending weekends watching football playoffs or being too anxious before football playoffs to do any form of work.

Rexali's story is terrible. Take my word on it.
*Ducks*
While we're on the subject, my story and artwork submissions are both amazing.

Great, i can't wait to see the winners and their work. I hope im one of them. But it's hard as hell trying to be patient. I mean to wait a whole month for every contest? This isn't going to be easy for meh.
Unknown2005-01-23 05:51:54
That's why you wait til late in the submission time to send it Nah, I started my project about a week and a half ago, had my rough draft in three to four days (500-1000 words in each sitting), and am sitting on it for now, will do a revision in a few more days, then will give it to one non-Lusternia OOC friend to read it, and see what they say. If they give the go ahead, I send it, otherwise, I'll do some edit, and send it.
Oh, yeah, I'm also wanting to write seriously, not just for MUD contests

I'm entering a rather extensive piece of literature. Lacostian should enjoy it.
Unknown2005-01-23 14:10:46

Bricriu2005-01-23 19:35:29

I look forward to reading it. I enjoy most literary works, especially when well written.

Although flash should work, we haven't really tested it until you sent yours in. Unfortunately, we are unable to view it!

I have a feeling you will do well SirVLCIV. *chuckle* I wonder how many people here know who that is in your avatar. One of my favorite people ever thats who. I just bought a leather bound 1880 edition of him. I will submit a poem myself (as you could have guessed from the previous comments).
I just wonder, what kind of poetry the judges like and how much they know about good poetry. I think a romantic style poem in a style like Keats would fit the realm. But I could see something along the lines Of WB Yeat's Mysticism doing quite well.

If I'm not mistaken they tend to judge bardic based on revelence to Lusternia and depth, not "type"
