I know, but I was just speculating on what type of poetry would best suite lusternian subject matter.
Daganev2005-01-28 01:20:32

When will we hear of the winners?

I've never really payed attention to bardic contests before, so I have no idea how long the wait normally is.
Bricriu2005-02-03 00:57:34
Generally, Dag, about a week.

In Achaea, several weeks up to months at a time.

Around the 10th of every month .

For January, we'll probably announce winners within the next few days.
Kharvik2005-02-06 03:33:55
I wonder... if a piece we submitted for January didn't win, are we allowed to resubmit it for February's contest?
Daganev2005-02-06 03:54:12
yes, but your not any more likely to win, and probabbly more likely to lose.
Singollo2005-02-06 06:33:59
You'll definitely lose again, it's like saying "Wasn't good enough the first time, but it'll win this time!"

Wasn't good enough will never be good enough
Unknown2005-02-06 23:46:27
Well, it /is/ possible. If all the entries for a month were really good, and you just missed winning, I suppose you could have a shot if the next month all they get are terrible entries.
Saleos2005-02-13 07:19:10
I'm going to enter a piece, as soon as I've been on for the 20 hours required.
Jack2005-02-14 09:11:25
I'm almost scared to enter a piece, because I know all the.. drop-outs? Failures? Scumbag mutants from the future?

.. Well, uh, everyone who failed to get in last month will be re-submitting with a vengeance, and I'm sure the competition will be stiff. Meh, I guess I've got a shot. Nice, small, serious story about Nil.
Alger2005-02-18 07:15:58
i think ill give next month a shot... i need a way to make damn credits :\\

Concentrating on the rough draft of my first novel, which is currently 15% done.

It sucks, but I like a lot of what's going into it. I just know editing is going to be a pain in the booty.
Daganev2005-02-25 07:29:55
If anyone is available I would like some assistance.

I have the same picture with maybe 20 different variations. Ok so its only five. And I was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me which version they like best. (its mainly just different croppings that emphasize different aspects.)

PM me... Thanks!

I can't draw, so I'm limited to the bardic contests, and I'm no great writer (as far as I know), so I'm kinda lost in these contests. I'll still probably submit a short poem, or set of limericks or some such, just incase.
Unknown2005-02-26 14:36:03
I'm trying the Artisanal competition this time around. I DLed the free trial of Mystica 5.2 and its fun to use. It took me forever to figure out how to import the photo I wanted use but eventually I did and I liked the result. This is the first time I've ever tried photo editing so we'll se how it goes.
Ixion2005-02-27 04:51:03
Estarra, let Kaervas win so he can pay me back the creds he owes me smile.gif
Akraasiel2005-02-28 06:15:44
Always the fan of last minute things, I submitted one on one of my alts. Which one is my alt? Why the one that wins the contest of course. tongue.gif
