No, half of them made them Orcs, the other half made them Undead Orclach. I'm not saying that the Ur'guard were not around before the Taint wars, I'm saying they were not based in Magnagora before the Taint wars. I also said because of the Taint being able to make them undead, thats why they moved to Magnagora.

I had said that the main races of Serenwilde are Elfen and Faeling, the main races of Estelbar are Furrikin, Tae'dae, and very rarely Igasho.

Magnagora was an assortment of races, but it wasn't Orclach. The Orclach had lived in Acknor before it was Tainted. Taurian were not in Magnagora, they were not allowed in groups. And I never heard of Fain favoring Taurian.

Read the Help Scroll regarding Fain. It says in there he favours: Viscanti, Orclach and Taurian but hates the Merian and Elfen.

I noticed when you said what the races of Serenwilde and Estelbar should be. I just included all those races into a single group, because I considered that there shouldn't be any division among them and merely be placed into a single group of nature lovers.

Orclach were majorly located in Magnagora, and the Ur'Guard was infact Orclach only for a time period. After the Taint corrupted many of the orclach turning them into the weaker orcs (the orclach party that escorted Ladantine to the Astral didn't change, though), many of the orclach did rellocate in Magnagora to continue their worshipping of the dead/undeath. It isn't that they became undead, they simply aspired to be like Urlach. The part I do not understand, is where they describe that there are some orclach that feel betrayed by the Taint while others embraced it. Does this give way for Orclachs being able to live elsewhere?

Anyway, now I can see you are riight. It seems like the orclach (Ur'Guard) relocated into Magnagora after the Taint War, dismissing my thought of the Orclach being the native inhabitants of the city.

EDIT: Made some corrections.

Help files only go so far, I have never seen Fain favor a Taurian or even speak of Taurian, and I'd hope I'd be listening.

Urlach was an Orclach. The Orclach never said they were in Magnagora before, and half of them had turned to either Orcs, weaker and smaller, or they turned to Undead Liches.

The Ur'guard were not just Orclach, they just took their name from the Orclach tongue, but I'm pretty sure some Ur'guard were non-Orclachs.

The best ur'guards were orclach.. Just ask captain Avarath. Also, the undead aspect of the Ur'guard existed before the Taint. I believe that was mentioned on another thread.

I'd tend to beleive Fain's help scroll, than weather or not you have heard him speak of them. The Ur'guard Grand Marshals though are Taurian, and Fain is the Patron of the Ur'guard.
Silvanus2005-01-24 02:55:22
Didn't know the Marshals were Taurian.

But no, the Undead had existed in the time of Urlach, but after Urlach sacrificed himself, the Undead had not existed until Ladantine and the Taint.
Daganev2005-01-24 03:21:18
how long was it between Urlach sacrificing himself and Ladantine?

I think it was either Lisarea or Auskelis who said that Undead was not a "Taint" thing.

I think that the taint, when still controlled by Kethuru, turned every Orclach into an Orc. When they use the taint to turn undead via lichdom it is a less volatile version of it.

The Undead used by Urlach were completely different.

Also, they didn't go there to become Undead, I don't think; they went there because they worshipped those who had been made undead.
