Malicia multishot is not possible... Its hard to explain without showing you with a diagram or an actually demonstration, but when you draw a bow, it has one point of 'force' This is typically where you place your arrow... If you don't place it here your accuracy will be that of a blind sloth trying to shoot. Now if you put a second arrow on this, one will be on the 'force' point, while the other just below or just above, so when the string goes from 'cruved' to 'straight' the bottom arrow, or top arrow bepending on which on is on the 'force point' is driven up or down...

...well, nor is demon summoning! (No, D&D players are not demon summoners, before some weirdo jumps in on that one. dry.gif)

However archery, unlink magic, does exsist in our world. If you magic exsisted here, and the game presented something so different then what it reall yis, I would whine to tongue.gif
Shiri2005-02-06 16:20:07
Like...Wicca. (Okay, possibly a bad example, but you get the point. tongue.gif)
Nementh2005-02-06 16:24:24
Well now I would have to know something about it, let someone else, wait someone already has whined about it. I win *innocent*

Archery has always been one of my favorite aspects of IRE games, and I was VERY dissapointed to see it wasn't available when lusternia was first released. I'd definitly be a big supporter of seeing it added.

On that note, if it's added I would prefer it be an additional specialization for knighthood in the warrior archtype. I agree that many of the knighthood skills have to do with swords and close combat, but look more closely and think about it. Every knight would have the standard training on swords and close combat (this would allow them to all bash equally and whatnot), however some would choose to specialize in long-range archery to support their close-range counterparts. It sounds really awsome to me, a good fit! smile.gif

And on the subject of doubleshot; If it worked and was good enough for Lord of the Rings, it's good enough for me. smile.gif

In all seriousness, this is a fantasy realm afterall. Not everything has to conform to our known universe of principles and measures. That's why we have imaginations. smile.gif

LotR 'Movies' the books never say he double shoots, but then again the book Legolas never charged into battle shooting, he sat in the back lobing arrows like an archer would...
Ceres2005-02-06 20:59:21
Nementh, stop. It's boring
Shamarah2005-02-06 21:24:45
Just say that magical energies alter the physics of the bow when you do multishot to allow you to aim accurately.

Easy as pie!
Nementh2005-02-06 22:03:29
Ceres, may be boring to you, but attention to detail is fun for me, so stop telling me to stop...

I will argue the double shot thing, simply because in fantasy it is to fricken over done.
Shiri2005-02-06 22:04:44
Nementh, you're an Elfen, you have no room to talk about overdone. tongue.gif
Nementh2005-02-06 22:58:36
hehe, ahh but see the little 'en' makes me not overdone *innocent* Hehe I like the stats and regen *pout*
Shiri2005-02-06 23:00:13
Call it...um...doublefire. That acceptable? tongue.gif
Malicia2005-02-07 12:57:14
I believe Shiri and most others suffer from what's known as 'Elfen Envy' or EE abbreviated. It occurs, usually at birth. The other races often spend the rest of their lives trying to emulate us.

Of course, I jest!

(But who doesn't want to be or be with Legolas?) kiss.gif

I love the idea of archery, as presented here. Would be a fascinating new dynamic to work with. I would question your one shot kill though, Ellara. Does the other person get a warning they are about to die instantly?
