Supercharge is a built in balancing factor, Roark.

I would be surprised if that was the explicit intent rather than a happy side effect (the two commands/stupidity risk). Perhaps I should rephrase. Supercharge provides no benefit for someone who writes the proper client scripts. So having a delayed charge acts as a hinderance for no reason, and removing the delay is thus dumb. When I was an Occultist I always wished that they'd get rid of charging or the delayed nature of the charge and add in an additional card to replace supercharge since so many cards were near useless (though yes, the ones that were actually useful owned).

I like the tarot skillset of Lusternia more, mostly because you can mask flings, you don't have to nearly trans occultism to be able to double fling a couple times, and you don't have to trans the skillset to supercharge, which actually -was- really annoying.

Already mentioned, world tarot seems an attempt to make up for the lack of ranged attacks like star tarot and doppie attacks, but the latter is high in domination.

Tarot here is actually useful and fun without having to nearly trans two other skills, it's highly effective at low skill-level, the only bad points in it I can see, is the uselessness of some tarots:

-Healer tarot, less effective and slower than puella, and both classes with tarot have puella already in novicehood.

-Emperor, same deal, all tarot users get conjunctio in rituals at novicehood.

-Warrior, totally useless, since last time I tested, it did 25 damage per fling to me.

-Princess, if you're messed up enough to be unable to normally heal your affs, you're not able to fling any tarot at all. If for 8 power you'd cure a bunch of afflictions, it'd be a hefty cost, but with all your defences being stripped, you're just gonna get yourself killed flinging this card in any situation.

-World, since it only lasts like, 20 seconds and only works outdoors and in the area? The only viable use I can see for this card is to fling fool, fling world, fling lust, and empress...but I'v been told you cannot fling lust over world, making this card just a waste of resources.

Nonetheless, all the other cards are nice, making tarot a wonderful skillset smile.gif.

Agree with everything except enigma.

I'm not too sure with balance issues, but when you enigma, fool and have your angel doing 2 X attacks for the next attacks, especially when you invest angel with stun-paralyse (making you incapacitated for longer becuase of the stun) It seems like the opening moves of a guardian are just way too strong, and fighting them is a real pain in the ass, especially when you can possible hit them with double aeon, and have them stunned so they are messed up longer, or even worse aeon aeon and angel anorexia-stun. Combined together they are way too easy and effective to pull off. Anorexia and aeon are pretty abd together because you need to cure anorexia first, or try to focus mind.

hangedman is awesome when used with web. Lets talk about nerfing the celestines now! their angel (stun) combined with all the instakils makes them way better than the nihilists, their instakills are alos a lot easier to pull off.

The above are my opinions and yes you may think i'm wrong, but like I said I'm not claiming to be an expert just giving my opinion, so keep insults to yourself.
Thorgal2005-01-27 10:39:12
Nah, Celestines are fine, you just have to learn to survive the initial attack, after that, the pressure is gone.
ravin2005-01-27 12:01:11
Yeah but you have to -let- them hit you for it to go away. Perhaps enigma could be like puissance, where it goes away after a certain amount of time.

Maybe even celestines just doesn't fit well into my strategy, which means i have to be more flexible, or maybe i should get around to perfecting the curing of aeon. I'll work on some strategies being a geomancer and countering it, and then if its too much I'll get on the bandwagon heh.

Ya Ravin, your strategy of demesne summon into a statue and boulderblast, or was it your strategy of demesne summon into walled monoed room and chasm?

Moving on, Celestine's angel stun lasts about a second. Every 8 seconds. Hardly unbalanced, especially compared to the Aquamancer or Hartstone equivalent.

And world tarot doesn't actually work. I tried it and bugged it, but haven't been willing to waste palettes on inscribing another since.
