I havn't been doing anything with my website (www.ironportal.org) since these forums started up and my idea of an Iron Realms Portal site fell through.. But now I've decided what I'm going to do with it.

I'm going to make a sort of 'Dream game' site, where I can post (as can others) the History, World, Skills, ect. for a game. I don't hold any great hope of IRE seeing the site and deciding "Let's make this a game," but if I ever sell my house, I might take $10,000 out of it and try to get the game running. Or could always start with just an RPG or a MUSH. Who knows?

Anyway, I'm still trying to remember how to sign into my website's control panel at the moment, so when I get that worked out, I'll fix up the forums there (forums.ironportal.org) and set up a blog and other pages for the new world.

Anyone interested, or should I just stop paying the monthly hosting costs already?

I've pretty much finished overhauling the forums now. I'm just putting in the stuff that I've decided will be in the game if I manage to get it made.

At the moment www.ironportal.org is a placeholder page. I'm still waiting to hear back from the person who runs my webspace provider about the Control Panal. When that's done, I'll get a page set up.

Aah, but a world can't be built by one man.. Most of what I've written there is rather.. rambling. So I need some help with ideas, as well as making it less.. rambling.. Yeah.

Most people would rather have a built mud than a built skin.

Jalain, tell you what. I know your shooting for a rapture mud, but I have an alternative. I've been trying to make a codebase for a mud for a while now - I have some hindrences, and its not going to be done for a while. But if I ever finish it, and people here are interested in it, I would let you use it. The kicker is that as opposed to DIKU and SMAUG and those codebases, mine would be based on my rapture play. It would be different, but the same general workings (NO KILL TO FIGHT SYSTEM *SCREAM*)

What I'm hoping for is for OLC (online creation).. Not just with the world, either. It would be nice if I could work on some skills, without having to be behind the scenes into the code.. since I can't code for the life of me.
I'm pretty sure that Rapture doesn't offer that.. but neither does anyone else as far as I know.

Anyway, I really should stop talking here and move to the IRP forum.

I really hope some people will get interested in this. The forum is essencially the 'Dues Ex Machiam' (I probably spelt that wrong). It's a multi-person God Machine, and how doesn't want to take part in creating a world?
