If Ishtinuse is talking about the same thing as whatever I'm being taught in Business & Economics now (granted I'm horrible at it), market equilibrium is the point (it's theoretically only achievably during one instant, really, but in that region) where demand is equal to supply. If demand is higher than supply, prices will up so the effective demand is lower, whereas if supply is higher, prices will fall until demand meets it. Where the two meet is market equilibrium.

Or that was a load of crud, but I could swear that's what I was taught tongue.gif

You're sleeping through class. Or, more likely, posting the whole time.

The price for alchemy will continue to go down until the people selling at the 'low' price are unable to keep up with demand, in which case the price will go up until an alchemist realizes they could get more business with a lower price causing....

You get the point. At that point, the market is stable. The two resources (gold and the inputs of alchemy (herbs, time)) are distributed optimally.

You mean everyone else can get to Astral without Nexus?

Someone just kick me in the head already.
Shiri2005-01-29 17:11:47
Yes, the only reason we need Nexus is so we can steal their Nexus to do the powers they can. Celestians need Nexus to get from Ether to Prime via Mother (of course, there are still gates...) and Earth/Astral to Nil and vice versa, Magnagorans need Nexus to get from Ether to Prime via Mother and Water/Astral to Celestia and vice versa.

They can go all the way up with their own Nexuses as if they were gates.
