Demesnes;

Back to Common Grounds.

So Dairuchi resets. As soon as anyone steps foot inside, they're summoned into Ravin's demesne, which is anchored at both ends in villages past 20+ guards, which I can't tank.
I even let myself be summoned into his team, statue and demesne, KILLED HIM, and the demesne just carried on. My suggestion is simple:

Make dying unmeld the demesne.

Don't whine power-loss, because the power is only spent taint/forest/water-ing, and not melding.

What do you all think?
Silvanus2005-01-29 21:17:20
That was not Ravin's demesne that was going, that was my room effects. THe demesne stays.
Ceres2005-01-29 21:19:41
So you were stacking demesne effects?

If so, that's illegal and supposed to be fixed.
Silvanus2005-01-29 21:20:50
Actually no, it doesn't do 2 at a time, it only does one at a time unless someone died.
Amaru2005-01-29 21:26:03
I'm seriously pissed off at the stupid skills and bugs in Lusternia. Having totally messed up Dairuchi because of unbreakable demesnes, Celestia is raided.

We walk in, and right away I get aeoned. I have no phlegmatic.

Why? Because I had to REPLACE all my vials to cure DILUTE which happened 3 years ago.

Needless to say I died twice.
Shiri2005-01-29 21:26:15
Yeah, you're still not supposed to do it.

EDIT: Replying to Silvanus, not Amaru.
Ceres2005-01-29 21:27:42
Oh, and stonewall? How do we get past that without nearly transing Environment, a crappy skillset, or being a Serenwilder?
Shiri2005-01-29 21:28:36
Or a Furrikin. whistling.gif
Ceres2005-01-29 21:31:39
6 - 0 so far.

It seems as if only Aquamancers don't have a way to get through stonewall. Oops.
Amaru2005-01-29 21:35:55
How do Celestines, then?
Shiri2005-01-29 21:35:57
How do Celestines and Nihilists get past it, if it's indoors?
Amaru2005-01-29 21:36:42
And if you mean flying, be realistic.

Geomancer (earth) demesne works when you're flying.

So do infused runes.
Silvanus2005-01-29 21:39:19
You can fly, or you can just kill the person. I'm not sure what other skills you got. Or, you know, you can rub soulless on them, web, then trueheal, then fling soulless.
Ceres2005-01-29 21:40:05
You aim your staff at Ravin and steam blasts out from the end to the north.
You have slain Ravin.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have
advanced to level 43.
You have reached the illustrious level of Golden.
The voice of Avechna whispers in your mind a warning about initiating combat
with Ravin.
1076h, 2661m, 2232e, 10p xkdb-
The potion heals and soothes you.
1480h, 2661m, 2232e, 10p xkdb-
Avechna whispers in your mind that Ravin is now fair game to slay.
The ghostly outline of a gyfu rune briefly appears in front of you before
slamming into your forehead.

No, Silvanus. The effects weren't yours..
Silvanus2005-01-29 21:40:22
I'll support Geomancers/Aquamancers/Hartstone losing their meld if every single class loses all their ents, their defences, and all their vials.

Thats a fused rune, but were you hit by tremors, lodestone, stonerain, or rockslide? Were there still poisonous gases? Its not just Geomancers who have this, its every Mage. And thats a bug, probably.
Terenas2005-01-29 21:47:01
There seems to be a number of bugs regarding fused runes. They hit flyers while none of the ground-based demesne effects do, they hit through lust while other demesne effects don't, and from Ceres's case, it seems to still hit when the Mage is dead. I don't know whether to laugh or be pissed off, but it seems that Mage have finally been made overpowered in Lusternia. doh.gif
ravin2005-01-29 21:47:36
Fused runes aren't demesne effects as per geomancy, they are part of the runes skillset, and you dont turn your demesne effects on to activate this. you demesne will do it too ceres.

I can fly and get demesne summoned back from the air. You aren't sure what other skills I have for this scenario because I have none.

And well done for your reference to a sequence of abilities I've NEVER USED. That REALLY supports your point.
