over 2000 rooms isn't possible, Aebrin, no matter how much bromide you drink

Oh I get it... hehe

As for the Seren situation, oddly enough we actually had quite a few able fighters, Narsrim, Marsu, Malicia (she was on JAVA and feeling vulnerable though tongue.gif) etc., but when the Celestians pulled out we went "Ah, screw it" and went off ourselves too.
Amaru2005-01-30 11:56:45
Ravin, Ravin, Ravin.

It isn't about hard work, genius. Obviously it goes that if you have villages, you have the power to get more villages. When you get more villages, you have more power to get more villages.

You can't say 'we deserved it obviously lol bcos we had more villages in teh first place obviously we worked muchh arder 2 get them than u stop complaining7' because to be honest, Magnagora 'works' no harder than anyone else.

Nah, we only pulled out when the village repledged.
Shiri2005-01-30 12:05:09
Well, maybe so, that's not what we were told though. tongue.gif
Aebrin2005-01-30 12:30:15
It was more of, "crap, I'm enemied to Magnagora. Let's not wait around for them to summon Guards."
ravin2005-01-31 00:55:50
Yeah I did over-react before, my apologies but It infuriates me to no end when people use the fact that Magnagora has a lot of power to further their arguement.

You're telling me that I didn't put any work into keeping dairuchi demesned? Your also telling me Daevos doesn't put in the hours being the city leader, doing everything that needs doing? Nothing happens without hard work Amaru, you of all people should know that. Building your system or fighting as much as you do is hard work. Bashing even is hard work (I hate bashing).

I'm not -saying- that we deserved it because we had more power in the first place. I'm saying that we deserved it because a few of us spent the time money and effort to keep the place up and demesned a RL week prior. Even if the megalith was at 20k power, the power used for the demesne and its effects would have been worth keeping a village or getting another one.

Sure its more justifyable to the power ministry if you had a heap of power, but I didn't see celest or serenwilde offering any type of reward for keeping the place melded or trying to constantly breaking the demesne there.

If the pool of stars went down by say 1000 power (enough to keep a 400 room demesne up) or even 2000 power to be safe, and in return it gained a village, thats a good trade.

PS I use the term slack ass mages because the Hartstone in general have athana and citera and munsia (if you count munsia) who are seen to be doing things. Aquamancers are starting to impress me because there are a few of them who can fight well, not to mention their staff hurts a lot more due to the damage type.

Thorgal2005-01-31 16:25:26
A lot of people work hard, Magnagora just has MORE people that work hard, than Serenwilde or Celest, and unlike Celest and Serenwilde, we actually reward those that work hard...which is the exact reason we have more people that work hard, hope that's clear now.

Point and Point. We reward those who work hard. We also have a -ton- of people who work behind the scenes doing various things. It's also sad when one person can clear out almost all of Celestia of angels and NO ONE comes to try and stop that person.

Really. You've cleared out the archdemons and Demon Lords? Celestia is the closet thing to being cleared out, where there were only 1 Supernal left, and that Supernals Archangel.
Shiri2005-01-31 19:39:10
Not the Demon Lords, didn't think you were counting them. And nor was Rhysus, by the sounds of things. Which is perfectly reasonable given that Ixion's argument was that Celestia was cleaned out, and by your logic that never was either. (Granted it's true, but we weren't counting them.)
Ethelon2005-01-31 19:39:27
Silvanus, you missed the quote where Ixion said one person can clear out all the ANGELS from Celestia, they did not mean the Supernals. Rhysus was making teh point that it's as easy for a lone person to clear Nil of it's Demons, not the Demon Lords.

Never once (and the times I've been in Magnagora, and an aide to power every single time I was a citizen), I had looked at powerlog, and never seen all of Nil cleared out of demons.
Shiri2005-01-31 19:50:18
It definately happened, AT LEAST once. I was there. And then for some reason I can't remember I stayed behind and killed like one more imp before a load of Magnagorans came and attacked me (before I was in a huge group of Celestians and Seren and they didn't dare) so I had to run away. But it was -definately- clear. I think that might be the time Rhysus was talking about, since he was there.
Silvanus2005-01-31 19:53:00
Rhysus said a lone person.
Shiri2005-01-31 19:57:07
Oh yeah. Okay, well, it wasn't then. But he lead another time and we killed them all then too. *cough* Nevermind. I was responding more to the point that Nil HAS indeed been cleared of demons.
Drago2005-02-01 10:02:40
If it happened once, its because the stupid demons didn't call out on CT -at all-, or because there was a -group-

I looked at powerlogs and there was -three- dead demons, I wouldn't call that you killing all of them, Rhysus.

The only way you can possibly kill all of them is with a Transplanar Cubix and, in my opinion, using that to raid another plane is completely stupid.

Back to Demesnes, no Demesne is impossible to break. If you come along the highway down from where Gaugiduch "is" you can cut off a fair deal of land, then you go into Darichui (the little "circle" thing on cere's map and cut out the rooms there.

You should, technically, then be able to make your way around the 'circle' and unmeld that entire area. If you can't (by working from the bottom corner so its not seperating any room from the remainder of the demsne) its probably a bug.
