Pretty much the same reason why I use Courier font and MLA guidelines for English papers, and the other more scientific gig (forget it's name) with Times New Roman for Mathematics/Physics.

I think you can download UK English dictionaries instead of US English, but every time I download something from Microsoft I lose control of my computer. After a while you learn to ignore and eventually to embrace the squiggly red lines.

Sometimes I'm glad I only have notepad and wordpad and crappy Lotus Smartsuite at home, instead of Word.

Wait, no I'm not. Ah well, at least they don't try to tell me I'm spelling from.

In addition to invisible keyboards, I often do math problems on invisible piecies of paper.
