I think you're confused. Right now, inquisition does not strip lich. If this changes, your point is valid. Otherwise....

The creator of the game says otherwise.

You have no idea how hard it is to pull off the final Inquisition, alot of things can go wrong for the Celestine or Paladin. Lichdom is overpowered; you shouldn't be able to stack the same defense upon it. Its like saying we can stack two trueheals or something. Lichdom has alot more usefulness then trueheal.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to pull off sacrifice? About 10 times harder then Inquisition. And Amaru (or it may have been Flow) has stacked two trueheals before.

...uh...no.
It's SUPPOSED to be like that, it was said, NOT it is. They are two different things, currently.

What might be good, Thorgal, is to make a new topic specifically arguing about the Celestine skills. Because Lichdom is still overpowered to everyone else, regardless of how good the Celestines are, so that's what the point in question here is.
39236
Necromancy is the opposite of sacraments, it is its counterpart. Don't tell me you didn't know that?
Unknown2005-01-30 20:31:49
Actually, the problem with lichdom being able to stack; comes from ur'guard. Its stupid that they have so much physical power, we finally kill one then they come back and kill us. It seems more reasonable for nilhilsts to have lichdom.

This goes back to dilute. Why complain about a bug, when the actual skill doe snot work like that?

39243
I did know that, and it may be that sacraments needs downgrading to put it on a par with necromancy - HOWEVER, this does not validate the fact that necromancy contains skills (lich) that are overpowered. Hence, make a new topic to say that sacraments are overpowered, because while it is true the two skills are connected, it is not true to say that one being too good justifies the other being too good in comparison with the skills everyone ELSE gets.
The rest of us don't get radiance, y'know. Things like that.
Unknown2005-01-30 20:34:15
If Lichdom gets downgrades then I hope spores do too, since it's almost impossible to kill anyone with them on the prime plane.
Unknown2005-01-30 20:35:34
Shut up, these pathetic little insults of yours have become stupid. I know that Ur'guards and Nihilists both have necromancy; because Paladins and celestines have Sacraments. Lichdom shouldn't be stackable and you shouldn't be able to lich while you're already an lich.

Of ourse, most of the ur'Guard are not undead as it takes a rigorous mastery f necromancy to achieve this state, which they are then referred to as Death Marshals".
From HELP UR'GUARD. And why wouldn't you be able to Lich? You can trueheal more then once a day, you can trueheal ontop of trueheal. A Lich, can go from undead, to staying undead.
Thorgal2005-01-30 20:37:59
And like Silvanus said, inquisition can't even be remotely compared to its counterpart in that, sacrifice...lessee, Amaru pulled off inquisition hundreds of times, but he NEVER...EVER...got sacrificed a SINGLE time. In fact, not a single fighter in Lusternia ever got sacrificed.
Sacrifice has a 0% chance of getting pulled off against ANYONE that has even just the slightest clue of combat....all 4 limbs shriveled (vivisect) would already be very hard to pull off, if not near impossible, since venoms don't work really, but that's not enough: they have to be crucified as well, crucify has a -7- second equilibrium time, and you get out of it in -2- seconds...so tell me, how the hell is anyone ever gonna pull it off? The skill is a joke.

There is a major difference between Trueheal and Lichdom. You can only trueheal one at a time. It is a waste to do a constant trueheal. Unlike lichdom, where you can stay as a lich aslong as you have the power to maintain it.

And you can't die if you have trueheal up.
Thorgal2005-01-30 20:39:42
Shiro please, you haven't got a clue what you're talking about...
Amaru2005-01-30 20:39:45
Don't forget you need 10 power right then to trueheal. It's hard in the middle of a fight. In fact, rarely possible in realistic situations, since our only good attacks have power costs. Lich you can activate beforehand.
Thorgal2005-01-30 20:41:46
Amaru, trueheal saved your ass so often it's not even funny, you could stand in the middle of Magnagora in a statued room with 30 guards and the entire city trying to hit you and still survive.
Unknown2005-01-30 20:43:03
I would trade lichdom for judge
Lichdom- +2 str/con at night, -2 at day, freezing touch works like judge. OOOOOO...
