Greetings, you all know me, or if not meh. I was a forger and had made a set of full plate mail (you'll know its mine by probing it) Anyways, I got jumped one day and got hit with vestiphobia and didnt realize I had thrown my full plate to the ground. If you have it or found it or whatever, I will gladly reward you with 20,000 gold thank you.

You can't put it back on now you've taken it off, as a Nihilist.
Drago2005-02-02 12:13:53
But he can keep it incase he decides to go say.. ur'Guard.
Plus fullplate is expensive to make, no?

Yep very expensive the 200 steel alone is bad enough.

Same thing happened to mines.. Vestiphobia is/was? bugged ands is tearin stuff off outs of order withouts regards to layer. So even if you were wearin somethin over it, it won't keep ya from tearin the lower levels off, but the upper levels would still keep ya from rewearin the item. If you haven't gots it back yet, whoever snagged it probably smelted it downs. It really hurt because mine was a 109/109 set I gots from Roark froms the forgin adjustments.

So make a private design that takes only 50 steel.
Wait, that's just me *duck*
I'll keep an eye out for it, as it won't decay.

Vestiphobia is one of the most annoying Lusternian skills, imo.

One less of the elite 109/109's left around now *snigger* I feel for you Davrick, losing stuff as a knight really sucks. Selfishness is dang near a necessity to not go insane.

That is one thing (except the ur'guard thing, as they deny me access to their guild.) The main reason is for remembrance purposes...thats the full plate I made as a Serenguard. Something I would like to keep.

Not to be annoying or anything, but a forger is a person who makes illegal copies of documents. A person who forges weapons and armor is a blacksmith.
Anyway, I hope Nikua gets his plate back. It is extremely frustrating when you lose your stuff, I know it from my experience.

I can imagine vestiphobia is really annoying. I hit Ravin with it once and killed him, and he ended up throwing off his fairly nice greatrobes and his tiara with 80 or so charges of Mercy. I was thinking about keeping them for a while, but I decided not to be that mean

Meh, actually, most of them would insist on 'armorer'...it was sort of a class distinction between 'nobler' practices of the art and those who just made iron tools and the like.
That said! I do do a double take every time I see forger used, for the same reasons as you...too much association I guess. I keep trying to use smith, but end up with tells about not knowing Smithing...ookay.

You can keep fullplate on as a nihilist? Did you take -any- damage with demonscales/fullplate?
Ceres2005-02-04 14:53:50
If you forge yourself some fullplate, have it cursed and wear it, you then have permanent fullplate for the rest of your game life.
Hrm.. I shoulda gone Paladin before Aquamancer

I would think that it no longer works on you though. Silvanus have stated that he is still wearing his cursed scales, but I'm doing 1300 damage every 2 swings to him with 14 strength. Don't think they're working that well.
Revan2005-02-05 05:06:46
Shamarah, quit confusing Ravin with me =p By the by, Curse enchantments take care of Vestiphobia. However, the catch is that you can NEVER take them off, or get rid of the enchantment, dooming them to decay.
Sekreh2005-02-06 21:01:29
Yea, I think Weaponsmith or Armorsmith or just plain smith would be more accurate, as blacksmith refers to making simple household items out of iron
Shamarah2005-02-06 21:28:15
Meh, your names are too similar.
Nementh2005-02-12 16:50:15
Blacksmith= General Iron/branze Work... also called a Ferrist (You go to them for horse shoes, etc...)
Steelsmith= Works with Steel...
Silversmith= Works with Silver and other precious metals except gold.
Goldsmith= Works with Gold
Armorsmith= Works on armour
Weaponsmith= Swords etc...
Gunsmith= Firearms.
The Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, and Gunsmith at some point ALL have blacksmithing and/or steelsmithing training... So you COULD say an Armor smith is a black Smith, they might clunk you with a hammer, but it wouldn't be 'untrue'
