Just looking for suggestions on some RPG's I may not have tried yet, as I know there are some smaller ones out there. Feel free to list you favorites as well, for any system at all.

Years ago, I was lucky enough to be pointed to Xenogears which turned out to be my favorite RPG to play yet. I'm waiting for the next wave to come out (Xenosaga Episode 2, FF12, and Kingdom Hearts 2), so anything you can toss out there to tide me over till then is appreciated.

Beyond that, I really have not played a ton of them, so would like to experience a bit more. I have access to PS2 (PS1) and computer, but I'm game to listen to any system that has decent ones.

Wild Arms 3 is pretty good, .hack//infection (don't know about the other 3) is fairly good if you can stand it being quite short and don't mind anime...um...what else...Tales of Phantasia you can get a ROM for probably...

Phantasy Star 4 for Sega, Shining Force 1 for Sega.

I've heard good things about Golden Sun 1 & 2. I was able to obtain copies, but I haven't got around to playing them.

Doesn't matter how you get it, just as long as it's playable and in English. Most. Awesome. Game. Ever.

I think it's only playable and in English on SNES ROM, translated by Dejap team into like 40 different languages. Awesome stuffs. I need Tales of Eternia and Tales of Symphonia and that other one to be translated though.

Agreed. It's the only RPG to make me cheer.

You *will* find a copy of Tales of Phantasia and you *will* finish it. The best bloody game in existence, as they've said. Other than that, go lay hands on a copy of Baldur's Gate 2 and Throne of Bhaal. Huge content and replayability, so. Also, try Star Ocean now that it is translated. And, and, and, and a copy of.. uhm, FF7 and FF6. The rest of them are just rehashes of the same theme, even if they are pretty good games. Ohhh. And Morrowind+Expansion packs.

Um...what did I miss with Star Ocean? I hated that thing. I was waiting so long for Dejap to do it too. Also BG2, how the heck did I forget that?

Oh, I remembered another one. The Wizardry series.

Wizadry was the first game I ever owned on my OLD OLD OLD computer. I had it on 5 1/4 floppy disks, and spent hours playing that thing.


I'm getting a little sick of RPG's getting pushed back..all the big ones I wanted were supposed to be out last year. Final Fantasy 12 got shoved wayyyy back, and Kingdom Hearts 2 is now fired back till much later this year.

Thank god Xenosaga Episode 2 is out very very soon! (I'll look for some of these you mentioned and perfect mindless killing on GTA till then.)

Last i heard (last night) FF 12 is 95% complete.. Tales of Phanstasia is a good one i'm getting through it slowly.. Some of what Klarth says..
