I've never seen that happen, neither to myself or in a log, I doubt it's possible.

*directs you to the Knockdown thread* there's your log, read it.

One of the best arguments against downgrading spores is that it is overall about as useful as ghost. This might be true if it weren't for skills that hit ghosted people, so how about when someone uses spores, their body is propeled away but it takes their soul a bit to catch up. So, they stay in that room as a soul for 4 seconds or so, during which time any people who were after them can use moves to hit ghosted people on them to try and finish them off.

As I said before, some unintentional oversights in spores have been pointed out and are slated to be fixed soon. Only flow and demesne-related teleportation are supposed to go through the monoliths.

Well, since none of the communes can get enchanting, and thus disenchantment, and thus no way to remove sigils from even inside our own commune without outside help, maybe an ability similar to chop should be tossed into environment to work on sigils.
Daganev2005-02-10 23:25:18
Are the enchantments going to screem in the enchanters ears when they are getting chopped?
Why do you always want your own personal "pros and cons" but insist on having everything else be "exactly equal"

Enchanters would be pleased. Needing to resupply sigils more often means more income. As well, an enchanter would still be preferable, as they destroy them instantly, as well as reclaim the comms. And it isn't like something you could do in combat, since it would take like what... 5 uses of balance?
Edit: And we are talking a high environment skill. Not only would it make the skill more useful, it would also be accessible to everyone, should they have some time, and need to destroy sigils say even in their own city, and don't have access to an enchanter.

Thanks for pointing out my oversight Silvanus.
I wonder if this means moonbeam isn't supposed to go through monoliths either?
I don't really use spores all that much, so I guess it won't be too disappointing for me, but I bet any combatant won't be happy. If its a balance issue, then I'm glad the divine have been working on it all the same, though I would have preferred a different solution.

By the way, you can't follow off equilibrium, balance, or while prone in any way so following someone with spores is not some uber escape method. It'll only work if you could move freely regardless.
vitae/spore would be on the same level as ghosting or liching (or trueheal I suppose) if it was stopped by monoliths.

Hmm... since I'm now feeling in the mood for a unsubstantiated whine - I say make the Lich-death stopped by eye sigils! Yeah, so there. *nod me*
Silvanus2005-02-11 01:37:42
Actually, if you are off eq/balance, you will follow any teleportiatian (totally wrong spelling), you just won't follow from room to room.
Unknown2005-02-11 01:38:45
By that same right, Lich should be given a short time pacification so they can't come right back and fight.

That is because you are warriors, Murphy. Not Guardians, not Wiccans, but warriors. You are not meant to have such abilities, and instead have other strengths. You are lucky you have more fleeing methods then the other two warrior archetypes.

Haven't read any posts yet after this, but Tuek you are a goose.
Serenguard have spores. Case closed.
Shiri2005-02-11 02:25:12
They...have spores as much as you do, Murphy. It's a Wicca skill, not a Moon or Stag skill. That means they have to get them from us. (And it's possible to get them from us for you too, although harder.)
Drago2005-02-11 02:26:17
Umm.. what?
The 30 seconds plus where we're defenceless isn't already enough for you?
Edit: Bah, that was in response to this:

What i'm saying is, if you wish to give a pacifiction on Vitae, then you should do it on Lich as well. Spores, is something I could agree on.

By virtue of being in the commune, they have access to spores.
Be realistic, I dont have access to spores because I get enemied for using them, and it doesn't take me to a friendly location.
Serenguard have open access to spores, untill the moondancers ban everyone except moondancers from using it, or it becomes part of the code to be moondancer to use them, all serenwilde has access to spores

Really? My bad.
That doesn't seem right.
Shiri2005-02-11 03:05:05
I know it happens with flow too. (It's teleportation by the way.)

Yeah. It sucks because it works the way I dont like it. Meh, now Lich has an upgrade, I'm happy. I'll start tending yer mushroom circles myself.
Sylphas2005-02-11 03:14:36
What the hell was that? My gods people, think before you flame. In that post I didn't complain about a damned thing, and haven't fought in a rather long time. I was just making the point that people trying to prove balance by equating single skills is rather ridiculous.
