I'm in love with Kharaen and Feyrll's pics, but I think maybe Kharaen should have won. Both are fantastic tho!

Oh, er, I think I see a slight problem with the music. You have it listed as 4-4 time but each measure is only 2 beats (e.g. 4 sixteenth notes and 2 eighth notes). Only the first/last measures seem to be in 4-4 (if you combine the two). Also, is it meant as a duet since it requires the the same note to be played twice? I guess I'm just used to piano sheet music where the bottom staff is bass clef.
(EDIT: Oh, I see now. I downloaded the music and I think I hear it as a flute/...lute?)
As for your actual bardic entry with ASCII... Amazing!

Eeep! My original handwritten sheet music has all the notes double the length you see them (so 4/4 time is right). I wanted to make a MIDI or WAV to submit with it (turned out that the bardic system can't accept them so I never got to), so I went out and found some software to enter it into, but I was unfamiliar with the software... so I managed to transcribe it all wrong, with all the notes half the intended length! But it sounded fine (no wonder I had to slow the tempo so much though) so I never caught the error. Then, to be even stupider, when I re-transcribed into ASCII, I did it from the neat-and-tidy score produced by the software, not from my original (and correct) hand-written sheets. And that means the same error is in my in-game recording of the book! I hope I can fix that. Damn, I feel dumb now.
The upper staff is the vocal (hence no chords), the lower is the accompaniment, as it'd be performed by a Lusternian bard with voice and instrument. In the MIDI, the upper is some kind of cheesy "voices" instrument, while the lower is harpsichord, which is the closest I could get within the limitations of MIDI.
The music is really very simplistic, partially by design (I imagined music to be simpler in Ellindel's time the way Gregorian chants are simplistic compared to symphonic orchestration), and partially because it's been quite a few years since I wrote really complicated harmonies, and I am very rusty.

I love seeing artwork for Viravain. It's so much fun to see how differently everyone pictures her from how I picture her in my own head. I'm just baffled why everyone thinks she looks drowish with gray/ash coloured skin. Is it something in the way I describe her?
I havn't looked at Viravain, lately, however when she went from bubbly child to tainted mistress, Viravain had ghost white skin with purple veins all over her body.

I'm finally at High Master.. .I guess that means I should consider my participation in the Artisanals over, (unless Feyrll winds up in a ditch and needs immediate financial backup), it was awesome competing against all of you, More often than not I was given a run for my money, literally

Can bardic submissions be published in the library system?
Shiri2007-05-06 02:57:56
Yes. They're considered "written by the character" anyway.

Are we allowed submitting pictures as artisinals? (Since I can't draw and all )

If you can find a way to make it specifically Lusternian, sure.

Well, I was thinking of taking pictures of the woods that I think would look like either Seren or Glom, so I'm all interested on how related it would have to be!

Grow a gigantic Moonhart Mother Tree, put a few babies in pixie outfits and hang them from the branches, and you're halfway there.
