The weevil pun had me in stitches. Very nice, Vix.

Ooh I wanted to add that I like Gavriel's work in the Artisanals. I really like the thin lines and soft colouring style for these subjects. They offer a different view of the Magnagora that I imagined.

I liked Vix's puns. Didn't get the one with the Moondancer and River Lady, though.

Excellent puns indeed, heh. I often repeat the weevil pun, easily my favourite line from Master & Commander.

I loved Karnagans entry. It was really interesting, I want more!

It's a reference to the Ackleberry quest, I think, in which you summon the spirit of Sister River and she offers up some cryptic warning or advice. One of them cautions against the followers of Moon.

ignore meeee
Vix2007-08-10 15:44:21
Yeah, most of my puns were kind of Seren-centric. I'll try for more universal puns if I do it again. Thanks for all the praises, everyone.

Anyone hear something about why the bardics aren't out yet?
And no, I was not forced to ask this. It is out of pure curosity!

The admins were probably pretty busy with the anniversary celebrations.

I'm going to guess it was the 10-year thing, pretty major event and all.
I wish I had worked on my artisanal earlier, I got preoccupied and by the time I had it finished, it was already September.
It makes me pretty sad to see so many plaguerisms (just re-reading the last 10 pages of this thread). The last three years or so I've been in Imperian, which has no artisanals/bardics to speak of (beyond a very rare announce post contest... and I mean less than once a year rare). Since coming to Lusternia, part of why I like it here so much is that they still run these monthly contests.
To Estarra and Whomever else oversees these, thank you all for still maintaining the contest. Hopefully the trend of plaguarizing (I think I'm really butchering the spelling of that word, sorry) passes and the contests can remain enjoyable to view as well as participate in.

Woo! Thanks!

Thanks? To whom, for what?

Artisinals...Artisinals....wherefore art thou?
Saaga2007-09-12 10:39:42
Xiel, I love your banner, Loreena McKennit... Oooh...

It's Noyes, actually. A few of Ms. McKennitt's songs were written well before she was born, though she does a beautiful job of personalizing them.
On-Topic: I hope they can make their final decisions on the Artisanals and Bardics soon! I've been on pins and needles.
Edit: Just noticed this... "Wherefore" means "Why."

Yup. It was Alfred Noyes that I quoted it from. Wanted to make my sig nice, and I thought that it went well with the pattern you see on the top and bottom tiers and the whole moon thing.
Edit: Oh, and thank you! Before I forget. -twiddle- Aaand...I guess it's a good thing I didn't enter Bardics then....the whole, wherefore is why thing...ahem.

It's a wonderful poem, and don't worry too much about the "wherefore." It's just a nitpicky, personal thing for me.

Oh Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
That's how I learned what 'wherefore' means.
