Thanks Estarra and crew. This doesn't help any characters I play, but it's good for the game.
Shiri2005-02-10 18:15:14
Ah, you beat me to it. I'm glad they have to supply the herbs and she charges a lot! Best possible fix for now, I guess! happy.gif Nice one.

I just wish it wasn't Rowena.

I mean, she's a notable quest NPC that people want to stay dead.
Unknown2005-02-10 18:23:06
Well you may have to do some work, then. It's not the end of the world.
Shiri2005-02-10 18:23:26
Plus in that all demesne-able tunnel thing, as a couple people noted.
Nonetheless, it's better than nothing. And better than a lot of the other options suggested. dry.gif

Whats happened?
Shiri2005-02-10 19:09:50
READNEWS PUBLIC 303. 'splains it all.
Rhysus2005-02-10 21:08:58
Yeah, this was necessary. I just wish it wasn't done in such a...well, obviously forced fashion. It's out of character for the staff, but sometimes things like this are expected
Shiri2005-02-10 21:30:54
Don't know what else they coulda done. I suppose they could've drawn it out a bit, but then some Magnagorans *coughyouknowwhoyouarecough* would have figured they'd "worked" for it and then demanded it be cheaper and...all the rest. dry.gif

I agree.

It made Rowena a household name for potions, when she is a major historical figure within Glomdoring. I feel that it removes the very..'feel' I get from her.
Daganev2005-02-10 22:42:38
try buying a vial from her before you say she lost any feel.

I think the post was written very well to keep the feel, and who else would be able to make potions and be willing to do it outside of serenwilde?
Unknown2005-02-10 22:51:07
So she charges the herbs, plus a cost?
Does anyone know what she charges for each vial type?
Daganev2005-02-10 22:57:17
I'm afraid to find out.

The best use for her will be herbalists who buy lots of refills and resell them to people.
Unknown2005-02-10 23:15:41
Oh right, that's wonderful now. Herbalists can supply her with herbs, then pay the small fee, and consequently undercut alchemists, since they get their herbs for essentially free, whereas alchemists have to buy them. So now you can see your friendly herbalist for both your herbs AND your health refills.

Good thing I took alchemy only for the philosopher's stone. I have never sold alchemy to people except at Lusternia's opening. It isn't profitable... damn the 10-30 gold profit per health vial (health vial refills have dropped down to like 150).
Daganev2005-02-10 23:21:37
ha small fee!
Unknown2005-02-10 23:28:14
Is it small, or is it not? I've been asking what it costs exactly after the herbs are supplied.
Daganev2005-02-10 23:33:38
I don't think its small, but like I said, I'm afraid to find out.

prices with NPCs are never small.
Gwylifar2005-02-11 03:47:18
It seems the obvious other person who might sell this stuff is Bob. I posted elsewhere a very simple way he could have done it, but, oh well.

I agree, Rowena just seems too historically important to be treated like the local drive-through drug store.
Unknown2005-02-11 03:52:24
A health vial goes for 200 gold + the ingredients.
Sekreh2005-02-11 03:53:03
I think we can't really discuss it until we know how much she charges. I found the quote to be suitibly IC for her persona, I just hope she sneers and condescends while charging extortionate amounts for her refills.

EDIT: Erk, Jello, caught me while I was posting
