woot it worked!
All points of view are only -one- point of view, and heavily spinned. Thats kind of the definition of a point a of view.
As apposed to a range of views or a spectrum of view.

...erm...and? My point still stands, then. It's just as valid not to care as it is to care, in this circumstance at least.
Daganev2005-02-06 16:51:56
Then you agree its valid for CElest to pay hommage to Magnagora and for Serenwilde to actively kill fae as a general policy?
You didn't exactly explain what the rational behind not caring is, or acting against the goals of your commune's historic aims.

...okay, I'll explain where POTENTIAL logic flaws in your argument are.
As soon as I'm done playing Silent Hill 3. (I just got it. ) Seriously though, the Serenwilde + Fae and Celest V Magnagora thing are quite a bit more solid than the rather tenuous link between healing the basin and cooperating with tainted people who may well push them into extinction again by slaying them and stealing their venoms (which you yourself inadvertantly admitted ) to restore a race of adders that have been thought extinct for hundreds of years.

Why does Serenwilde care about the fae? As far as I know, the only reason they care about the fae is because they are they are what allows them to help heal the basin.
Is it generally Serenwilde's belief that it is better to care about city politics over the healing of the basin?

All events are eventually taken over by the larger players and their ideas of how it should play out are forced (read PK or destruction of the Mob and or Items necessary to complete said event) upon the rest of the player base if they see it going a way they dont like.
Events are pointless anyhow unless you are big enough to gather a group and kill the group trying to do the opposite of your aim. It all goes back to PK anyhow which is why those who like events but hate pk usually skip events and hand it over to the PK'rs who just muck it up and degenerate every event into nothing more than a world wide FFA.

Actually, that's not strictly true, Delver, the last bit. Take a look at the Star of Celest, that quest. There was next to no violence involved with that, if you remember. And that went pretty well.

Yes, it would be nice if people would share things like where to get snake nets when Abeytu/Rheimos are yelling

Not exactly possible because that is considered quest information. It was tried, but the post was deleted (I assume the snake nets are part of one of the normal Skarch quests as well).
Lack of communication is a huge problem with prolonged events, especially with people coming in and out of the realms in different time zones. But in this case, as details can't be posted, you just have to get it by word of mouth. Just keep asking and hope that somebody knows.

Ah right - I didn't realise it was quest information...sorry
Daganev2005-02-06 21:43:25
Actually, its not illegal for someone to say, "Hey you. go to Such and such location and grab a net! I need it!"
No praise for my Serenwilde Priest moment?

Praise granted. It was a pretty good take on things from one perspective.
Daganev2005-02-06 21:56:15
That "one point of view" being the point of view of the stated purpose of the commune from the head leader to Lolly pringle type person.
Shiri2005-02-06 21:57:08
...that last one didn't really make any sense. Lolliprin type person? Head leader?
Daganev2005-02-06 22:04:50
The end of the histories, next time read and post AFTER I make my edit. (\\*nodme*
Shiri2005-02-06 22:07:40
Ahhh. I wish I was psychic.
Daganev2005-02-06 22:10:23
Me too! Then I wouldn't have to explain my posts so much and you could just agree with me.
Shiri2005-02-06 22:16:08
Or not, as the case may be.
Daganev2005-02-06 22:18:27
Its a known fact that if you were able to understand me, you'd agree with me. This isn't a theoretical fact, its just a known fact for the name that is Daganev. Let the ego soar!

So true.
