That was almost two months ago, Thorgal.

This spores issue was addressed in my envoy report. We will see where it goes. I have asked for spores to be useable by Wiccans only. Furthermore, I have asked for any Wiccan to be able to Faereturn a circle they find at whim. This should fix a lot of the current problems.
That would hurt the Seren non-wiccans, Narsrim. Not to mention, Hartstone and Moondancers have flow! Serenguard do not have the ability to get away if need be. I think the spores should be used only by those who take Stag or Moon.

Isn't he the Moondancer envoy? I thought it was his job to suggest balances and changes that help his guild?
Thorgal2005-04-29 15:00:13
I'm sure you mean "upgrades", not "balances and changes".
Unknown2005-04-29 15:02:30
You should pay attention to what I write, I word things fairly carefully.
I never mentioned anything about him doing or not doing his job the way it is meant to. I have not read an envoy report, so I couldn't say either way.

You need to learn seeing the point in people's posts, Quidgy .

I know your point, you were being funny/sarcastic. I just felt like making myself feel smart.
I should use smilies, they display emotions so well.

Notice how Thorgal chose to attack Elryn rather than his point. That makes it seem more like a good idea.
Man, if you have any good reasons, use them. Stop being so spiteful and ignorant. Sheesh.
As for stripping Lichdom, Elryn: Kill the person (difficult for you, because cudgel does almost nothing, and so does (most of) dreamweaving) OR use like 20 invoke springs OR have inquisition.

I'm pretty sure Alger and I tested, and Spring didn't strip Lichdom.
Shiri2005-04-29 17:47:27
...well, fine, not even that then.

Meh. Serenguard do have an escape ability - Totem Return. Yes, it sucks terribly; however, it should be changed to be instant. *urge Terenas*
However, I did change my suggestion to Moon/Stag/Night/Crow for Ebonguard/Serenguard.
Sylphas2005-04-29 21:05:51
If TotemReturn was changed so that you could act while waiting, it'd be useful.
Anyway, that's only for Serenguard who take Stag. I think Moondancers should only be able to summon mushrooms in pure forest, and Shadowdancers only in tainted. Then have spores only usable by Stag/Moon users for Moon spores, and Crow/Night users for Shadow spores.

Fae Mushrooms have -nothing- to do with Moon/Night in the same light that brownies have nothing to do with Moon/Night. The way Shadowdancers work is that they enslave Fae by binding them in shadows, which can include mushroom circles but that doesn't have anything to do with the location.
Shorlen2005-04-29 21:15:33
How about changing the skill to summon silvery mushrooms if you are a follower of Moon that are only usable by Moon followers, and shadowy mushrooms if you are a follower of Night that are only useable by Night followers? That, with Totemreturn actually being useful instead of worthless, would work well in my eyes.
Also, mushroom circles being able to be faereturned, which would also destroy all spores made from that circle (or make them not work anymore) would be great, though possibly hard to code. It would stop spores from being used as a raiding tool between seren/glom. The only problem remaining would be just how easy it is to snort the spores...

As I said before, the mushroom circles have -nothing- to do with Mother Moon or Mother Night. There is no reason to waste time re-coding something this useless.
As for spores, they currently have the same restrictions as a hermit tarot. I don't see how that's easy... bearing in mind mushrooms is a fabled-mythical level skill where hermit is right outside of novicehood.

So? If it solves problems, the slight breach of history can be explained somehow, and this way spores don't get nerfed.
Also, mushrooms are NOT fae. They are magical mushrooms. We don't bind mushrooms in Faethorn, we just conjure them. Hell, if you really want an explanation, make them Moon/Night only, like the Maiden, etc.

Spores aren't going to get nerfed. That already happened. Currently, I want them changed to where random people cannot use them at whim. That's not nerfing, that's balancing. They should be useable by either Wiccans only or if the admins want to be give some perks to Serenguard/Ebonguard, all Totem users.
Furthermore, this would be a waste of time to code and a waste of time to explain.
