I KNOW Furloch's Fallen's alt. That was my entire point, that he wasn't your alt. Because that makes it justified.

Yeah, the excuse "You can use alts to get around an alchemy ban, therefore an alchemy ban isn't bad" is about the lamest thing I've ever heard.

That wasn't my point at all to encourage bypassing a non-existent alchemy ban. My point was that there will always be around these sort of things. Mhaldor in Achaea has been concoction banned for who knows how long, and they still had no problem constantly dueling or raiding other cities. As it stand at the moment, yes, only Serenwilde controls Alchemy, but only the other two cities control Enchantment as everyone have stated. The fact that there are two cities with enchantment doesn't still negate that they have an edge over SW when it comes to getting useful Enchanting for fighting. Have you noticed Tuek or Narsrim raiding Celest as well as Mag, or anyone for that matter? I know I would never want to be an enemy to both of those cities at once, considering that Cleansing/Levitation/Ignite are the most powerful enchantments to counter some very deadly abilities.
Furthermore, as long as Mag and SW doesn't go to war, there would be no reason for an Alchemy ban, do you think the Alchemists like losing 1/3 to 1/2 of their customers? You may be enemied to SW and can't get potions, but what's stopping you from buying them from a shop in Mag or have one of your friends get your empties for refills?

Not to mention icewalls to stop toadcurse, y'know, sucking.

Furloch is Fallen's alt, not mine.
And do you people have no shame? asking others to get refills for you? thats worse than begging for a trip to the Elemental plane.

In case you haven't noticed, Lusternia was built around more player/player interaction. I'd really like to see how you get to the Water Plane if there was no rift accessible to Ethereal, Dag. Why do you think we're not allowed to take more than one tradeskill? It is to build more interaction between other players and increases the realism of economy.
Daganev2005-02-08 03:11:59
Geomancers and aquamancers can get to the elemental planes without acess to the Ethereal.
What you fail to realize, is that if Serenwilde was not the only way to get potions right now, Serenwilde would be suffering certain consequences for the actions of Tuek and Narsrim that can not be done because people do not want to risk being enemied to thier source of Vials.

People please, there is no point anymore in argueing wether the alchemy situation is fair or not, common sense and the divine says it isn't fair, let's focus on finding out how to fix it.

Erm dont compare to mhaldor in achaea... i still even have a list of rogue alchemists/herbalists.
Kayde2005-02-09 10:30:53
Getting back on topic of the poll, I would like to see manse artifacts for an alembic and pentagram for alchemy and enchantment tradeskills. This would help to solve the alchemy problem, as those alchemists that wish to go rogue or to other cities would be able to doso and still be able to get to and use an alembic, same with enchantment, although since there are 2 cities that have pentragrams, it's less of a problem for enchanters.
