HBO is Home Box Office, as in whatch movies at home. However they make quite a few "specials" like America undercover. But yeah, don't watch those, I was making a sarky remark smile.gif
Shiri2005-02-09 02:33:16
...oh. Hm. I only have BBC, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. I guess it's one of thar sky things. *is still on terrestrial*

EDIT: OOH. Daganev used the word "sarky", in context too. *scribbles him down in good book*

Australia only gets the occaisional movie which, from memory, suck.. I think our "sattelite" tv might have it maybe.

Heh, well gay pride parades got me on a bad foot, because when I lived in San Diego, there was LITERALLY one every other week, then went right through the middile of fricken downtown, meaning every other week, I was late to work because a bunch of gay, bi etc... decided they had to tell the world they were their again.

We know they are there, they have the attention of the government. California has passed laws allowing civil partnerships which give everything marriage does except very minor things.

They have been accepted into the legal side of society, alls bringing attention to themselves now does it garnish ill will. They have won what they wanted to win, now they need to blend in and let the world take its path. But the bigger deal they make about being different, the more different they will be treated.

HBO is advanced cable, not in basic cable.
Nyla2005-02-09 02:46:27
Gay Pride is a bigger deal in Oklahoma than Califonia

I thought that got reversed?
Daganev2005-02-09 02:48:38
The only thing that got reversed was San Francisco illegally marrying people, changing the format of the marriage license, and trying to say its ok, but only valid in SF.
Nementh2005-02-09 02:50:15
The Civil Partnership didn't get reversed... I know for a fact, today we processed the first Dissolution of a Domestic Partnership today... I entered the Judgment!
Daganev2005-02-09 02:52:35
I'm still waiting for the frats to start having domestic parternships so that they can bypass La Jolla's law of no more than 4 unrelated persons in a home, and get some real Frat houses.
Nementh2005-02-09 02:53:56
Ohh Dag you goto UCSD? Heh, I hate La Jolla... only reason I didn't goto UCSD, that and I didn't apply to any UCs tongue.gif
Daganev2005-02-09 02:57:44
How can you hate la jolla? All the streets are the same name, everything is overpriced, there are no gas stations, and everything has a view of the beach with an average outdoor tempature of 72!?!?

My Girlfriend calls Riverside, "Riversdie" because she enjoys it so much.
Nementh2005-02-09 02:59:51
I grew up in South Bay.. I loved it down there. Imperial Beach, when the TJ river wasn't overflowing... was great.

You left out the marine layer, and the hugmongous tourest and surfer infestation during the late spring and summer seasons.

Riverside does suck, why the hell do you think I am working on getting to Monterey tongue.gif

>_< Yes, Valentine's day SUCKS. Especially when the person you wish you could spend it with is all the way across the country.

As for Black History Month and all that. I've never..felt the urge to go apologize to someone for something I've never done O_O;. But I could see how that would suck. It's like when you get a grade on a test and it's like, say an 89 and you're all happy, then someone walks past and is like, "Ohhh..it's okay! That's still a good grade!"

Actually I don't know how that relates, but I feel like that would be the same feeling.
Nementh2005-02-09 03:48:39
Heh, I once had the highest score on a test... 96% of total score, but since it was on a curve I got 100%...

Then I felt guilty when the next highest scorer showed me his adjusted score... 71%...

But oh well, they should've studied... they all knew history was my strongest point, although now I have three people I am tutoring and they are paying me 100 bucks a month, which is great for about 6 hours a week...

Okay, I only read the first post, so deal with me.

Let's get this straight.

You're a black homosexual jew?

You, sir, are the ULTIMATE MINORITY.

And I don't think you want to know what the gay "lifestyle" is.

I'm gay and I don't know what lifestyle your talking about. Mine? My boyfriend's? My friends brother's? The guy sitting there drinking a beer at the Columbian on Oxford st? Which one is the gay lifestyle?
Drago2005-02-09 04:08:20
Mebbe he's referring to shows like Queer as Folk and, as such, the liftstyle is "sex, sex, sex.. with a little more sex on the side"?

I would never have guessed you were a teacher....That's WEIRD. That's kind of like how the guys I work with were saying they could be substitute teachers at my school.

I don't know why, I just find that weird.
