Actually, isn't a Griefer someone who kills people for no other reason than to cause them .. grief?
This doesn't seem to fit the situation because:
1 - Narsrim was raiding an opposing village, then playing cat and mouse with those who chose to come defend it. That isn't really the same thing as attacking random person A just because you can.
2 - Can you make that statement without having asked someone in-game about their reasons for raiding?

Griefing isn't restricted only to PK, so if that's your only argument that he isn't one...

I'd say predominant reason, not sole reason.
And IC 'justification' is hardly a means to forgive OOC motivation.

That's a nice general statement, but how does it apply in this situation, and what are your bases for judging?

His own words really seem clear enough to me.

I'm saying his OOC motivation is to cause grief for Magnagoran players (and it is quite boring to play anymore when you log in, take care of business, run to defend the latest raid) - no amount of 'RP' can make Narsrim the character more interesting to me than Narsrim the player's goals of causing grief.

I haven't tried Aetolia or Imperian, but I have seen this similar pattern of actions in Achaea, and maybe the other two IRE games have them as well. Some players log on mainly to chat, others to hunt, and others to work for the guild/city/order (*gag*). And there are some that just comes around for the conflicts and actions. All I am saying is that different people play Lusternia for different reasons, and in Narsrim's case, it might be that he enjoys the constant conflicts and actions just as how others enjoy hunting for hours. You cannot fault someone for their reasons to play, if he was a real jerk, then he'd be jumping any Mags he can find and kill as many people as he can without giving them Vengeance (unlike a certain number of Mag players who vowed to do such that lately).

The villages cause conflict. Look at how the miners are setup. Look at how cities gain the commodities that are fundamental to their economy. Look at what it takes to make a village revolt more quickly. It is easy to see why someone would raid an opposing village.
When Daevos was raiding Celestian villages multiple times a day, forcing Celestians to constantly defend their villages, did you also criticize him of doing so because he wanted to cause OOC grief to the players of Celestian characters?
Even said players of Celestian characters understood his IC motivations, even if they disliked being forced to defend. And no matter how much they complained about it on the forums, I don't think one person ever blamed Daevos for acting purely to cause them OOC grief.
And Narsrim (and Tuek) isn't raiding with anywhere near the frequency that Daevos (and Valek) used to raid Celestian villages.
I can understand the frustration. I've been there. And you're entitled to rant. But I don't see any basis for accusing Narsrim out of purely OOC "griefer" motivations.
