I think the only time that ever happened was because my fingers were already cut and I was just wearing down the scar tissue, not just...like...from scratch.

They get dried out from contact with the keys, chapped, then crack open and bleed. Fairly simple really, but it doesnt happen to me when Im mudding but rather in the long hours I spend working on my pieces.

Odd. I've mudded for 11 hours nonstop and received nothing but a mild headache and a couple of mildly sore fingers.

I think I've mudded longer than that. I recall the Achaean Year 350 hunting contest where I managed to place in the top 20 with all of the dragons and high level people. I think I was on Achaea for...at least a full day. I am the ultimate geek.

What I think you need is some moisturizer.

I went 19 hours the first day Aetolia opened, and I just had a little burning on the tip of my index finger, and that was it.

Aetolia is such a depressing place. I tried to play there when I was still playing Achaea and it just depressed me too much :/. Even now I can't even go to their website.

The middle joints on my fingers give out and tend to lock up before I get any damage to the skin.

I've definitely played for +24 hours at a time and my fingers haven't ever bled. Sure, they get a bit chapped (nothing some skin lotion/vaseline can't fix) but they don't bleed.
