I've said this many many times.
WHEN A SOUL AFTER DEATH IN LICH, YOU CANNOT MOVE INTO A ROOM WITH EYE SIGILS, IT SAYS:
"A strange telepathic (thing) blocks you from entering this room." or something similar.

"A strange force prevents you from moving in that direction."
I can't count how often I've seen that message right before dying again, and losing 140% experience everytime .

Eye sigils only stop movement into that room. So if someone dropped an eye before or after you died in the room, it won't stop you from exiting unless the room you want to enter has an eye. I think it should be changed that souls cannot leave or enter a room with an eye sigil down. That way people will have to drop eye sigils ahead of time and it will stop some of the complains regarding lichdom.

My thoughts exactly.
People with Lichdom simply do not die ever, unless they are in enemy territory that has been set up prior. Anywhere on Prime plane that isn't a Village or City, they are guaranteed to escape.

It would also completely neuter the skill, except for bashing.
What bothers me is that liches can put up the lich defense, meaning they can theoretically die as much as they want with no exp loss. Then they whine when they actually do get trapped and killed. Why not have it so that liches cannot lich? You lich, sip vitae. You hit vitae, lich. It's still an advantage, but makes killing necromancers mean something.

Well, you thought wrong. The only advantage on Ethereal would be for Hartstone and in that case, it just makes it cheaper to summon a Stag or Cudgel. That's it. Nothing to do with Moondancers. This is the same for Aquamancers on Water and Geomancers on Earth...
You know, I'm starting to think that people believe Moondancers are over powered because they have no idea what the class can and cannot do. I recall Valek trying to tell me that I could Rage and moonburst globally anytime...

Then I apologise for being wrong, but why do you go to ethereal every time you vitae? (Well it seems like it anyway).
Even I can be wrong sometimes, there you go

You just remove the equilibrium loss upon reforming. Now it is both stoppable, but also still easy to escape. It would now be like soulcage, except without the blackwind already built in. Though of course you wouldn't be able to ghost right after. Hell, it might also be better if they kept their power for an instant ghost, rather then running away as a soul, since you can close doors on ghosts, and invoke violet or evoke kether.
Edit: Though I do like the idea of not being able to activate Lichdom once you are already undead. So you Lich, run away, can't reactivate Lich, so your next death will either be a real death, or a vitae death.
Daganev2005-02-12 00:18:36
I really dislike these assumptions that being a lich is just like having vitae.
You should think of lich more like one might think of Stagform.
I would really prefer that lichdom not have the death aspects so people could stop complaining about it; even though that would make me have to buy vitae vials.

Perhaps I go to drain more power away from the masses of people gather at the Mother Moonhart on Prime?

Well then Daganev, lichdom should be changed to reflect this. EVERY SINGLE TIME I LOG IN, I have to drawdown. Lichdom, like vitae, however sticks with you until you use it thus making it more like vitae.
Daganev2005-02-12 00:29:53
ummm, that makes little sense to me.
"sticks with me until you use it"? More like, sticks with me untill I LOSE it. What you "use" is lichseed, which allows you to become a lich when you die. So to become a Lich I have to die first. So far its been the only reason I see for heartstop, so I don't have to ask a city member to kill me every time I die twice.

When someone whines about spores, it is justified. When someone mentions something about necromancy, knockdown, hang-trueheal-soulless, ur'guard's bashing, etc... it is instead "bitching and being childish." (or so sayth Bricriu)
EDIT: I'm wrong. No one called hang-trueheal-soulless bitching or childish because it doesn't concern Bricriu and her clique.

Firstly define Bricriu's 'clique' for me. dont say its everyone in Magnagora because its not.
Secondly, I apologise to you and anyone else for being dead wrong before. I wish I could transverse cosmic to go drain the megalith in peace

When did I say that Ur'guard could transverse cosmic... try never.
As for Bricriu's clique, she'd know best
Daganev2005-02-12 01:01:23
Once again, you entirely misread Murphy's post..... oh well.
Drago2005-02-12 01:04:05
Ok.. see the thing called "Guild Envoy"?
He/She is going to be submitting ideas on how to balance his/her guild skills. If you have a problem, instead of bitching and moaning about it here, talk to them.
Regardless of whether you're a guild member or not, I'm going to take what you say into account. Unfortunatly, if all you do is bitch and moan about the same thing over and over, I'm not going to listen.
When you can make an argument that you haven't already made, which makes sense and doesn't completely screw a skill over, speak to me and I'll have a look at it.
Otherwise, just stop bitching about skills already, its annoying.

Obviously, I would not, Narsrim, since I never even knew I HAD a 'clique', you decided that fact for yourself. So please! Enlighten us all.

You are the one who knows who those secret Magnagorans and Serens who applaud your posts... or are they fiction?
Bricriu2005-02-12 06:30:42
I wasn't aware that people cheering others on for noticing stupidity made them part of a clique.
Generally, I'd assume it made them normal.
However, since arguing with you on that fact doesn't really appeal to me, perhaps you should try spamming my AIM sometime. It could be semi-interesting.
