I will repeat, focus spirit does NOT cure Omen. Thank you.

Err Moondancers are the hardest class for me to fight..why? Its simple, they can just aeon until that damned pixie puts you to sleep, they can strip any defense pretty damn fast, and it doesnt give a message, you can time your ents, Tuek did it to me last night and it was brutal. Maybe its your fighting ability?

On a sidenote, you were the best of those remaining in the arena. (Ixion, Drago, whoever else I killed.)
I never stripped defenses, spring in lowmagic is slow, and costs like 700 mana, so I don't ever use it. Aeon is easy to handle, you probably didn't cure it because Patchou gives aeon, and has a separate message that you probably didn't pick up. Anyway, IMO, Moondancers are one of the weakest fighting classes I've ever come across in IRE, save maybe.. hmmm... can't think of one, perhaps if someone mentioned one... well Achaean bards maybe? Never played as one, didn't like Achaea, so I don't know much about them, other then that they suck.
Well, maybe not the weakest, but Moondancers have some very glaring lackings.
Edit: But I love the RP and the Guild! The abilities may not be the best from a combat point of view (far from it), but at least most are fun/cool/interesting. In all, I enjoy combat as a Moondancer, even though I feel they lack, and that is all that matters to me.

Except I never argued about ablity to fight. I argued that what is good for one night skill should be good for all.

Yeah I don t have any real moondancer system set up, but generally what they do, IE Narsrim and Dumihru, is just aeon me repeatedly until thier pixie keeps me asleep, which screws me over pretty bad. I agree they could use some new stuff tho. From the majourity of my fights they rely heavily on Aeon and just that silver fire thing, and thier ents are pretty easy to cure, IE The Crone generally gives recklessness(or atleast to me!!)
Shiri2005-02-15 15:01:28
Gwylifar does drink fire, eat calamus, focus mind, and that completely nullifies the crone. (Mind you, that won't work as well against hexers. But against healing Moondancers, we don't have any other afflictions to give, so...yesh.) And the silver fire thing is AWFUL for anyone other than Tuek, and I'm not sure why he's not using curse either. It's the +2eq I guess. Over time the curse does more damage, because the moonburst eq is so slow, but I guess Tuek was just going for raw power since your health isn't awesome.

I've determined moonburst is infact better over time. For bashing at least, I haven't tested PvP.

*squint* Huh. Did it get changed? It wasn't when Narsrim and I checked it out a while back.
