Losing the power from the vitae deaths has always annoyed me. I mean, I've already paid 10 power to set up the stupid thing, why should I have to pay another 10 when it goes off?
So, I propose simply making whatever power you have currently just go back into your reserves. That way, you've still got 0 power, but you won't have actually lost any, it'll just take a bit of time from coming back. This could also be applied to lich.

Being in need of more power is something I have unfortunately never had to worry about, but I agree with Shamarah in that the power should be transfered back into reserves for vitae and lichdom.

I think it sounds fair, even though I don't use lich or vitae.
Ralshan2005-02-11 23:34:12
I like it! Do it for conglutination, too!
Shiri2005-02-11 23:35:41
Well, but that only costs 10 power, not 20 like Lich/Vitae.
I mean, I'd still like it, but the argument's not quite as good, and they probably changed it to 10 power in the first place for a reason.

Do that, too. What's the point of losing the 10 power?
Unknown2005-02-12 00:08:30
Sometimes I'd rather not conglutinate, since I lose 10p, whereas if I'm resurrected or resurgemed or immolated, I do not.
Shiri2005-02-12 00:09:41
Not that anyone's ever able to Resurgem you from a place you conglutinate from, after the fix. (And we're not allowed to immolate. And who rezzes you? )
I do see your point though.

You conglutinate while in your own territory (I.E. Serenwilde or one of our villages.) Doesn't help me if a Resurgem coven is already active.
Shiri2005-02-12 00:18:53
Nor do you lose power when you conglutinate from a village thing. Or at least, that's what Roark posted when I brought up that point because of the similar word usage eons ago.

The reason for losing power is so that you can't immediatly do feats and it puts you out of commision for a bit.
Die
Vitae
Haymayker

Haymaker
Etc.

I agree, I've always wanted conglutination to work this way. Please implement it!
And Daganev, the effect is still the same - you end up with 0 power after the death.

You don't need to lose current power to prevent that. It just needs to not come back any faster than it would have otherwise. I.e., the same reason you can't haymaker back to back without dying would apply with dying/vitae.
