Well I guess since one city person does something, they are all guilty of it... hope Ur'Guard don't mind never seeing Earth again without the help of mages, because since one Magangorian harms Ethereal, all do...
Of course, if I did that, Magnagora would whine about how unfair it is they have to go through Ethereal to get to Earth, and that I am 'unfairly' killing Magnagorans, then they will begin to bash Hartstone novices...
I guess it pays not to be petty.

And it is even funnier that for this to happen it always needed a Magnagoran to steal furrikens or dwarven miners, Jello.
Oh, and yes, Daganev, the poor, innocent Magnagorans...uhm, where do you live please? I don't necessarily agree with the constant attacks done by Narsrim or Tuek but please don't try to convince me or anyone else that poor Magnagora just tried or tries to defend itself.

The argument that Magnagorans had to steal furrikins or dwarven miners is really a stupid , yes stupid argument. Magnagora has had miners and farmers ever since it owned 6 or 7 villages and had a monopoly on miners. Any miners lost since then have merely been taken back, same with furrikin. The only way Magnagora could have lost any miners or farmers, was if someone else took them. The only way Serenwilde could have miners or farmers is if they stole them from somebody else.
I don't think anyone has tried to label Magnagora as poor. I was merely stating that this so called "peace" that existed for a month, did not infact exist. It was just a one sided war.
And yes, you can take the actions of any Magnagoran to use in political debate with the city leaders. However, its not common practice to Enemy everybody who does not live in your city/commune just because they don't live there, which is what you are suggesting. If Ur'guard are raiding ethereal, it is perfectly reasonable for Serenwilde to raid Earth.

You can't raid earth. It is more or less a bashing ground. Non-sentient non-loyal creatures, no harmful quests, nothing.
Daganev2005-02-12 01:12:34
I will not correct your falsehoods as that would hurt "my team"
Shiri2005-02-12 01:14:27
...Daganev, there are no "falsehoods." What he just said was 100% true.
Daganev2005-02-12 01:15:15
And I will not bother to correct you.

How can it be raided, when Magnagora raids it itself? That makes absolutely no sense. The earth and water planes are a mid-level bashing ground.
Daganev2005-02-12 01:19:08
The same way you can raid a Drug house.
Drago2005-02-12 01:23:04
Dude, I was under the impression you had HELPFILES telling you how to "raid" earth.
I must've been hallucinating, my mistake.
For tiresome raids: Try Aris, Tuek and Narsrim raiding Nil with the help of a planar cubix. Hurrah for raids that are impossible to actually kill the person(s) raiding.

It's funny how most of Serenwilde doesn't realize that raiders from Serenwilde have been spamming the Magnagora city channel for a week or two prettymuch non-stop. And now that Mag can actually strike back, they're like, what have we done to deserve this?
47634
Exactly, really. We actually haven't done anything to deserve it. Tuek and Nar have, but not the rest of us.
But, their actions can easily be taken as representing Serenwilde. So, I have no problem with the RP justification for the raids (aren't you pleased I have no problem with it? Fear me having problems....that sounds wrong).
Gregori2005-02-12 11:21:56
Hate to play devil's advocate, but I side with the "evil" people on this one. We punched them in the face, then kicked them when they were down. Now they have big sister(?) looking after their needs and can retaliate. Good for them. I hate the fact that it is Rowena doing it, based on her need for many quests that we would kill her for anyways, and that just opens the door for us to be accused of killing her to stop her refilling. Not to say we aren't.
Anyways, the world thrives on conflict, all of IRE's games are based around PK, no matter how much RP you try and say should be there. 90% of the skills I have are for me to go out and kill my neighbour.
Now in Lusternia they tried to alter that slightly by offering more "utility" skills to the mix, but the fact remains the key guild skills are meant for nothing more than "go kill the bad guy". So raiding, warring, murdering each other will find any excuse possible in order for it to happen.
Stop complaining about it, either stay on Astral and hunt happily, or join in the mayhem that is what the skills you have are designed for. Just try and find a semi rpable reason for doing so.
EDIT::
One last thing. All these nerf the skills rants. Give it a rest already, on all sides. The Admins work damn hard to fix things for people and constantly screaming this is unfair that is unfair, when the game hasn't even run a 6 month course yet and there are -many- things needing to be fixed is hardly fair to them.

Whoo I know this one!  Or at least, I can predict! It will be blamed on retaliation for raids on their villages. Because the miners appeared in Angkrag by magic, the furrikins walk to Acknor by themselves, Yrael never raids Estelbar, and there was no recent war.
Do I win?

You've gotten wise to me lately, and had Narsrim/Tuek waiting there. Or you all seem to set up shop there. My latest time in Estelbar consists of:
2094h, 2181m, 1743e, 8p, 9370en, 9951w ex-abjure window gregori
You open up a window in the cosmic fabric and search out Gregori. Through the
cosmic window, you see Gregori at Wheat Fields.

Duck in. Fling catacombs. Fling lust. Four-five Serenwilders/Tuek/Narsrim/Tuek and Narsrim descend - or just Nessa, who always sends me scurrying for some reason - I either catacombs away, ghost away, summoned away, teleport away, or die. Dont worry. I'll get back to it eventually. You'll all pay. All of you. *eyeshift*

Teach me to steal your newspaper.
Just.. insert what Gregori said about siding with us here, and make it look like I said it.
Oh, and there is Order spam, about people defiling shrines. But thats partially my fault, as I'm defile happy myself. So sort of a reverse there.
Devris2005-02-12 13:42:16
Although I'm not too thrilled with my citymate(s) declaring they are going to kill novices, and then getting cityfavoured soon after. (grumble) I don't think either side is really above and beyond worse than the other. You got spammed earlier, and I just watched that past few hours of Narsrim and Tuek kicking the bejesus out of guards and villages. I won't even put the log up here, but it is very fascinating.
I did CWHO during this...yeah...7 whole people and like 3 were novices.

Well, both Magnagora and Serenwilde are vicious, bored griefers beating eachother on Prime for shitz 'n giggles, while Celest jumps in to team Magnagora once in a while if it suits them.
And for the record, there are no "individual actions" in Lusternia, except for those of rogues belonging to city nor guild.
If Tuek raids Angkrag, Serenwilde raids Angkrag, if Erion raids Ethereal, Magnagora raids Ethereal, simple law of cause and consequence for organizations.
