I'd say a bald, singing, brown-skinned man in a suit should represent Hallifax.
Unknown2005-02-13 07:29:43
I don't get it
Unknown2005-02-17 03:32:33
Oooo.... I do like your idea on Hallifax. I've been playing Rexali from the beginning as a descendant of a Hallifax ambassador to Magnagora (the ambassador was afflicted with the taint) - generation after generation always striving to return to Hallifax.

I say, you make it the Freidkorps (History reference!)

As I once told someone over AIM.
I would have thought Halifax joins up with Celest and Gaudgiaghgasdg joins up with Magangora. WHy?
Halifax is sky, sky is blue. Water is blue.
GASdgsgsdg is Lava, lava is red, Magangora is red.
Thank you.. good night.

That is why Daganev should not be a moderator...
And that proves that, either Americans (Is Daganev American?) and/or Tae'dae have no logic whatsoever, and are indeed, stupid.

Excuse me .. I am an Arteest. Color is very important!
Do you know how many wars have been fought and WON because of the color of the country on the map?

I think most likely they'll not side with anyone most of the time, though I can see Gaudiguch and Celest not getting along because of fire and water, and Gaudiguch will be able to harm Serenwilde more than anyone else so they will either ally up hardcore or be big time enemies I suppose.
In any case, those of us interested in Hallifax before it opens are obviously biased towards Magnagora so we'll see what happens eh.

To be honest, I think Hallifax will detest Magnagora... remeber that Hallifax were constantly trying to get control of Angkrag, claiming ownership? Though, Hallifax without doubt will also be more harmful to Serenwilde than Gaudiguch, taking into consideration Hallifax's trends of complete technological development. Gaudiguch on the other hand, just because of the Dracnari being fireborn and lavadwellers, I believe isn't much to consider them anti-Serenwilde. You could consider both children of the wilde and the fireborn to be more intuitive than the rest, therefore mor akin. That is my opinion.
Shiri2005-02-17 18:17:41
I don't think Serenwilde is one of the rampant druid cults that hate all forms of technology, they just want to heal the basin and it's not as though technology is going to destroy that necessarily. I don't think that's quite the reason they object to cities. (But I don't want to get into one of those arguments with Des so I'll shut up now. )
Desdemona2005-02-17 19:25:21
Hm, the biggest thing resembling technology I've seen in the Serenwilde... is the elevator, and that can be made with simple pulleys. Stairs and elevators are the only things needed to reach the treetops.
So, I think that the Serenwilde is hardcore survivalist forestal, they don't want technology nor embrace it, they simply use simple mechanism that satisfy one of their needs. City expansion, plus technological advancement may mean a rotund harm to nature, and simple ways of life. *imagines a Hallifax creating somekind of bulldozer trying to mine crystals all over the basin, and needing trees as a cheap substitute for coal as fuel.
Serenwilderns beware the coming of Hallifax!
(Yes, Shiri, don't argue with me )

Desdemona a fou, il tres fou.
Desdemona2005-02-21 18:59:50
Insane eh? Maybe you are right
Though that doesn't remove the fact that Hallifax can be Serenwilde's worst enemy, yet, and a competition for Magnagora and resources over the Basin

Only 34k more gold and the Letztes Bataillon will be complete!
Desdemona2005-02-22 01:17:28
Again, could you state the aim of your clan? Basically I get the impression it is just somekind of "survivors from Hallifax retired in Magnagora" clan.
Unknown2005-02-22 01:30:07
Oops, sorry.
The goal of the clan is to free Hallifax and hang out. We would operate from inside of Magnagora and end up as a pro-magnagora faction within the city after it comes into being.

What might be better is to have the name somehow relate to Professor Lars, the first tainted creature from Hallifax.
