Well, not feats, but that would actually be pretty sweet to have them work a bit harder.
Daganev2005-02-15 02:38:48
I would consider working harder a great feat. Especially if they are anything like the population base of tech support and customer service *nod me*

Oh, I thought you meant stuff like...
A Furrikin farmer points at you and blah blah toadcurse!
...yees!

Village bonuses then? Say... a boost in commodity/power production when all villagers are alive at the tithe, and a multiplier for the months that it continues to stay that way.
Not likely that anyone will go without raids, villager theft, etc...

I was just thinking of a simple. When piece of powernode is in obelisk, tithes = tithes + 10%.
Put a decay on the piece of something like, oh 10 hours.
Its just something for people who bash astral all the time to be able to to do to help their city and get karma.

So how would the node piece fall off? Excessive use would drain.. so maybe excessive power would cause it to crack?
Unless Astral is always whored out.. then this will never happen.
Or power crystals, which would be like a growing Astral node, would occassionally sprout from the ground. I don't like the idea of it being something someone could randomly pick up for village boosts. It'd have to be... special, something earned rightfully.
I like my idea, but there's too much of a need to raid already for maximum production value, and this would only cause more combat to arise even for innocents.

I think the concept was something to allow people who hunt astral to have some worth. Maybe 1 in 12 mobs on astral have a gem or whatever that falls out. And resets once in a while. 10% on most tithes would be a 1 or 2 commodity increase. If your village is really working, you might get an increase of 3 comms.
Shiri2005-02-15 03:29:45
I might have it more that there's only one shard in existence at any one time, appears daily. If you find it, and put it in a village, it gets increased comm production and (at the end of the month) power production.

Astral travellers, those grizzled and old veterans who ascended to Astral long ago, soon after Kethuru was sealed again, who have carved out a niche for themselves on the astral plain. Lots of interesting things up there that could be applied. Like the library of the soulless, having a scholar who is seeking a book held within a secret area of the library, or do something with that restaraunt up on astral too. Lots of fun things that could be easily added. Weave in some things that could effect city dominance and it would move a lot of PK up there.

Oh, I love the idea of unlockable quests! For players like me, who are rather about solving quests than about killing people, it would greatly increase the chance of ever solving an honours quest before someone, who already did the quest, solves it again.
Solving such quests again and again surely is hard to justify on a RP-basis, but it's even harder to forbid in any kind of way, especially now with the Karma-system. So unlockable quests! Yah! Please!

I always thought that butchers should take deer for venison (is that spelt right?)

Are there some that don't? I've never had trouble turning in deer for venison. What I don't get is why they don't take rabbit.
