I think I might have clicked on the wrong one sad.gif

not sure though :/
Kaileigh2005-02-13 17:00:44
I like it. It seems only the ones that killed alot of people are hating it maybe that should tell you guys something.
Akraasiel2005-02-13 17:04:49
hmm, ya think?
Bricriu2005-02-13 17:07:04
Maybe it seems like the only ones who die and whine about it instead of work to get better LIKE it.

I don't kill randomly, and I HATE Karma.
Laysus2005-02-13 17:09:00
I wasn't aware I could kill anyone :/

Not entirely true. I'm not a PKer. I didn't mind it at first but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a rockeater, chicken, cow, sheep, the fae-girl's rabbit, or the falconer's lost blue bird. I'd probably like it more if the number of quests were increased.

And in the exception of the last 15 minutes, I rarly kill, and I hate this system.

And even then, it is one person... and off plane, so it is as it should be.

Killed a lot of people as in actually got involved in the conflict built into nearly every single area in Lusternia?

Or is it better to have your character stand back and watch Lanikai/Rowena/the spectres die despite every RP reason to defend them?

Right..

Because doing any of the above makes you a mindless thug who should be punished by being forced to do repetitive actions over and over again. Oh wait..

For the record, it takes me about 2 hours to gain 50 karma. The blessings that I've tried so far are really nice, but I can see how they might be a bit overpowered.

This poll is kind of biased. It's like taking 100 people and asking them how many would like +2 to an attribute as long as they promise to ignore any future reasons for conflict, even if it compromises their RP. Most people are going to say - Hell yeah. Is it good for the individuals, yes. Is good for the realm and its future? Maybe not.

This should have more choices, and be an in-game referendum.
Daganev2005-02-13 23:47:17
One of the things I like most about the dynamics of the world with this system, is that it moves the dynamics of the game field around. Most IRE games have a small number of key players that basically do everything. By making quests a bigger part of life, it makes everybody involved and creates higher demand for all aspects of life thus making more people have a larger role to play in the world politics.

I believe what idiots (Narsrim) don't understand....

You don't kill people who don't attack you.... you can't be cursed.

I will be a curse-whore, as I don't expect retaliation. I'm don't PK.
Unknown2005-02-14 00:12:52
I believe curses/blessings will be even if PKers fight PKers, and don't go out of their way to kill others.

...yes you can. If I attack you, and you kill me, I can curse you. Nars is less of an idiot than you'd think, apparently. dry.gif
Unknown2005-02-14 00:16:11
And do you know how much of an idiot you'd be to use that curse? Don't worry - your metagaming would come back to haunt you wink.gif

(kill person, die on purpose - if your purpose was to die, what if I didn't fight back?)
Ceres2005-02-14 00:16:46
Rexali, I'm a little bit peeved now. You expect to be able to peacefully stroll around Glomdoring past an occupying team of enemies?

Walking in with triggers off, dying, praying, repeat, is not good conduct.

See, in 5 days I'll have a nice fat curse on me, and be stuck with it because I don't want to grind quests.
Unknown2005-02-14 00:17:19
I'm going to be holding a stock of 100% karma. When I use a blessing, a curse, or am cursed, I will immediately work back to 100%. Cursing me would not be a good idea. (Note, I don't fight often, nor am I often outside of Magnagora -it'd be difficult to fight me where Avenger protects you).

Wah.
Unknown2005-02-14 00:19:29
Show me where I forced any of you to attack me or kill me, and I'll gladly revoke any promise to use curses.
Ceres2005-02-14 00:21:24
You amuse me.

Show me where you're forced to kill anyone, ever. You're not. It just makes sense.

Deliberately dying to get curse-rights is clearly against the spirit of the system.
Unknown2005-02-14 00:21:36
And there's nothing different to this than Tuek dying to everyone on purpose for Suspect so he could influence in peace. Notice how I didn't take the bait?
