Aye. My thanks to the Admins. They are not infallable, but they have done a wonderful job overall of creating this world for us to play in.

Thank you so much, the history and RP value of the MUD has been tremendous.
Recent... additions... aside, this is the BEST MUD I have played. Ever.

Lusternia is pretty incredible. A big switch in gears from Achaea.. I appreciate all of the hard work you guys do and continue to do. Hopefully this karma issue will be sorted out.
Dumihru2005-02-14 06:33:33
It really is. The history was just awesome to read, and even better are all of the things that tie the current world into that history. Spectre Isle, Emperor Ladantine's spirit, Rowena.
One of the things that drew me was the sudden freedom to be able to defend things that your character believes in. And while there are solutions besides combat, the complex combat system that IRE is known for and that Lusternia has done a beautiful job on can actually be used outside of the arena, in ways that make a difference.
I come from Achaea, where doing so is so restricted by PK laws that drew so many artificial lines that any passion one might have had is smothered. And the lack of any meaningful conflict results in a world that is really fun as a place to chat with people and maybe go bashing, but it isn't really very interesting as a .. coherent realm.
Meaningful combat does bring a lot to a realm. Not everybody is a diplomat or a questor. When reading history or mythology, the big battles and legendary heroes usually fascinate me more than the treaties and agreements.
I guess the admins are probably fairly upset over the amount of venting that has been happening on the forums lately. The thing is that people wouldn't be so vocal if they didn't appreciate the world that has been created. Otherwise, why bother, right?

Well said, Dumihru.
Revan2005-02-14 07:03:08
Dumihru does have a point. We all love the world so much that we want to make it perfect =p Go Admins and everybody who keep making Lusternia a wonderful world to be in. I won't comment on Karma, just to ease your stress =p
Laysus2005-02-14 08:12:18
I'mma second (third, fourth, five hundred and fifty-sixth?) the thanking! I love the world, just not the karma.
Estarra2005-02-14 09:08:48
Thanks everyone!
Amphitrite2005-02-14 11:39:54

Thank you very much for making this place so great. It can't be perfect, and it's great to have people who listen to the ideas and concerns afrom the people playing the game. I think everyone else has said everything I would have said ^o^
Shamarah2005-02-14 11:49:36
Yes, this is certainly the most fun MUD I've ever played. Don't know what I can say that Dumihru didn't really, so... thanks again! (Except for karma.)
Daganev2005-02-14 11:51:08
I'd say thank you but then people will yell at me.
Unknown2005-02-14 11:58:21
I remember the first thread like this.
Its funny to think back on how things have changed since then.
Kudos.
(If it makes you feel any better, I like karma )

Then I'll say thank you on behalf of Daganev Cuz Lusternia is the best MUD I've had the pleasure of being a part of. I don't want to see Lusternia die. I might have to go back to that other MUD which shall remain nameless (Starts with Aa...)

Well, I would like to send out a big THANKYOU to whoever fixed the manse shop bug. For the past few days, anyone has been able to enter and exploit a particular deficiency in manse design to raid shops. Upon issuing the matter, I was immediately informed it was moved to emergency bugs, and it has just been fixed.
Efficient and timely!
the coders!!! Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!

Shiri2005-02-14 13:09:07
Yeah, and they fixed burrowing under closed doors in manses super fast too! (I did it in a manse I was welcome in, honest. )
Elryn2005-02-14 13:11:15
Hence the shop vulnerability.
Shiri2005-02-14 13:15:28
...oh.
Well, uh, ignore me, I thought that was something else entirely, never having had a manse shop.

Having come from Aetolia where nothing happens I love the amount of stuff we get over here in Lusternia. This is the only place I've bought credits at and I don't regret it... yet
I didn't like karma at first but it's grown on me now
