Now, as some people may alraedy know, I am pro-karma. What I don't like is that you get karma for doing the quests. That makes the mass-PKers do the quests over and over, not letting anyone else do them. So, here are my ideas about the alternatives:
-If you remove or change the blessings (most of them are very pro-PK anyway, and they shouldn't be), the situation would improve slightly - however, this step alone will do nothing.
-I suggest making Karma grow on a faster basis, for example: 10% per month. However, the number would be reduced if the person had people on his/her suspect list. This also means no karma for quests.
-In order to let those people get karma faster, they'll have to redeem their horrible PK-styled deeds. An idea of mine: if a person killed x rats/weevils, he or she will get karma at the first of next month like if s/he had x/10 suspects less. Or something like that. The whole concept of this redeeming deeds was to make them time consuming (so the PKers won't be able to shrug off curses so easily), yet still doable.

I hope that by saying rats and weevils you meant to say people
But the idea is nice, and a very good alternative for trying to unclog Karma, if Karma is only gained by quests there should be a large number of folks trying to complete them. If the monthly Karma received were increased, depending on whether you have someone in your suspect list or not, would be a very nice idea to get greater benefits if someone didn't PK at all. Incitement for people to have few people in their suspect list

Yes, I meant rats/weevils. For example:
Cuber has 0 suspects on Avechnary. At the start of the next month, he gets 10 karma.
Cuber has 3 suspects on Roarkian. At the start of the next month, he gets 7 (10-3)/8 (10-3:2, rounded down)/anything karma. However, if he killed 10 rats during Roarkian, he would get karma as if he killed only 2 people (yes, he still has all three as suspects). If he killed 30 rats or weevils during that month, he'll get all 10% karma at the start of the next one.

Hmm.. I still don't understand why you would gain _karma_ for killing pests? Maybe do manual labor or something, a Lusternia penial colony.

Pest control is important. I believe pests can be very hazardous to public sanitation, especially when you let the pests increase in numbers. So, pest control is a service to the community. It is perfectly reasonable to get some Karma for making the community a favor and helping it be more clean and beautiful.
